The bright early morning sun shone in through the slits of the barn, which although having been worked on still beared signs of being an in progess sleeping arrangement. Most tokota's, herself included, slept in the other more well kept lodgings of that long den the handlers had built, but Catori had gotten to hot in the big pile of tokota's there last night so she had found herself slinking off ot sleep in the nice cool hay of the barn last night. She hadn't minded, it had been comfortable, and quiet, with nothing but the sounds of nature to fall sleep to unlike the usual snoring and fussing of her other tokota tribe mates as they also tried to fall asleep.
Waking up gently now, she brushed herself off. She may have slept in a barn, but she would have been far to embarrassed for someone to have seen her and be able to actually tell. She was no wild tokota, and so she kept herself looking mildly kept. Not Dollorosa or Seqoiua kept, who seemed to always be cleaning themselves as far as she was ocncerned, but at least she had to look presentable. If other tokota's and their handlers instantly did not consider her to be some wild thing then she considered her cleaning a success. In her little ray of sunshine in the barn, cleaning was not such a chore either. Other than shaking off the hay and giving herself a few licks here or there her pelt was pretty well kept from the previous day where she had done little to dirty it. She had mostly helped out just around the main lodgings, either helping handlers get to hard to reahc places or herding those pesky cloud beasts.
With a yawn and a large stretch things started to pick up for her. looking around as she padded out onto the alaskan wilderness she could see that if she left quickly, now would be the perfect time to hunt. Few others would be awake, the prey would be plentiful. Well, she supposed it depends on what you where hunting, but she could feel it in her bones that as the light was just waking up, she became alert, and this meant that a nice hearty kill was on the horizon for her hopefully. Looking up, she scented the air quickly. It would be better if she didn't go alone, even just on other tokota too hunt with truly minimized risk and made sure they could all bring something home for the tribe. There was more than enough prey going around in these parts usually, since they seemed far form town or wild pack. Yes, she'd look to see if anyone else was up, maybe in the main lodgings. Only quickly, before leaving on her own otherwise.
