Tokota: Dichali Handler; Hazel
Written from handlers point of view for a change Can not be exploring / hunting / fishing since he need his interaction levels to be up first.
--- It had finally worked. Hazel had been going out every day at the crack of dawn, taking a friends tokota as well as one of her own with her, to try and make sure this wild tokota she had found didn't consider her a threat. It had no reason to, after all, but the tokota had seemed so jumpy at first Hazel had thought it was scared, until she started realizing the poor thing was just incredibly lonely and had only wanted to play all along. Of course, now was a different story. She had gone to leave it last night, with some food as she always did, when the tokota, whom she had nicknamed Riddle, had picked up the fish and continued to follow her. This was not an uncommon thing, so Hazel had paid no mind at first, heading home knowing at some point once they got close to the cross creek tribe lodgings it would bound away, seemingly never wanting to live the life of a tamed tokota - but this had changed yesterday. Yesterday it had followed her all the way home, nudging her shoulders and trying to get her tokota to play with him the whole way back. It seemed that this tokota had finally decided that it wanted the life she could give it, one of comfort, cleanliness and health. SHe was incredibly happy, because she had honestly been worried about it out there on it's own with no one to help him hunt or clean his pelt.
her first thought, waking up now, she wondered if it had all been a dream, too good to be true. Perhaps she had been sleeping when she thought she had taken home the wild tokota and given him a nice bath before falling asleep, exhausted in her own bed. However, rubbing her eyes, she looked up to see the tawny creme pelt and hazel eyes staring right at her. She jumped, not expecting the face to be only inches from her own but she had no chance to wiggle away. As soon as Riddle, whom she decided now needed a better name, saw that she was up he hopped onto the bed, yes, all of him, and started licking her face. She squealed, pushing at him till he finally hopped back down to the side of the bad, still watching her with those beautiful Hazel eyes. He really was a pretty one. She patted his head, and heard the thumping of a wagging tail on the floor. Looking up to the otherwise empty room, then to the window, she realized the sun was bright in the sky. Soot, she must have been so tired that she had slept in! There was only so long she made her tokotas wait in the morning before they were allowed to go out and do what they desired, and she must have slept right through that. Now they would be out and about the tribes doing what they pleased, probably hunting or fishing though which wasn't so bad.
Oh well, she thought, looking at the tokota who had remained by her side, his expression so excited and glowing that it made Hazel's own feelings start to be similar. Yes, perhaps she'd spend the day with him, getting to know him a little better. She could see in how he held himself, and how when she went to pet him he still flinched momentarily, that he was still a wild tokota. She needed to spend the day interacting with him if she was ever going to make sure that he was tame enough that he'd actually stick around for more than just the free food. Getting up with a large stretch and yawn she felt his head press against her back, before large jaws ever so lightly grabbed the bottom of her shirt and tugged lightly. She turned and pushed his muzzle away again, despite laughing to herself.
"Hey, no playing till the handler gets ready. " She teased, and though he was far to wild to understand instruction she must have gotten the gist because he sat his bum down smack in front of the door, eyes never leaving her.
Once she was ready to go, he followed her out the lodgings where she wanted to see who was up and around and what everyone in the tribe was up to today. She knew some handlers had taken their tokota's on a long expedition that was suppose to leave at dawn, now one she had apparently missed out on, but she highly doubted everyone had left on it. There was probably still a handler or two who wanted to hang out and help her get this wild tokota adjusted to cross creek tribe life.
Speaking of - she turned to make sure he was still behind her, only he wasn't. Looking around with fear for a second that he had already ran away, she saw the creme coloured pelt at the sheeps pen. The tokota must never have seen sheep before, because it was standing on the edge of the fense, licking ever single sheep that had the bravery, or perhaps lacked the brains, to keep away. His tail was wagging back and forth with more speed than she had ever seen. Well, at least he was enjoying himself and it seemed the sheep were making a fun little game out of it as well. Raakel, to no surprise, was already in the sheeps pen, trying to blend in with her mostly white pelt. Hazel sighed. Raakel was found as a pup when she was exploring once, and the poor little pup had immediately taken to thinking she was a sheep, even her barks and howls came out as some bungled attempt to baa in a similar manner to that of the sheeps. Whenever Hazel didn't have her eye on the white seal female, immediately she was over the fence and in with the sheep again, but at least it always meant Hazel knew where to find her.
Although in this circumstance Hazel walked over, keeping an eye on both tokota's. Raakel was quite,.... protective, over the sheep and Hazel wasn't sure how she'd react to having a new tokota, one that no doubt probably still smelled like the wild, licking her sheep up and down.
When she approached she patted the creme tokota, who startled slightly but then nuzzled her affectionately once he recognized her.
"Ok.... we need a new name for you. Riddle will simply not do." Hazel said, cupping his muzzle in her hands and looking into his eyes.
"RAWRF!" He let out a large back.
Thats true, he was a very vocal tokota...
"Alright, Dichali it is."
He let out another large bark, and Hazel just sighed, but she had to smile at his antics. Now, seriously. She was pretty dark sure she couldn't take his eyes off the sheep on her own, let alone tame him by any stretch. She had a bag full of fish pieces in some hopes that maybe she could teach him at least some simple commands, commands most bred tokotas new by birth. Things like come, sit and stay at the very least. Oh, and she’d have to teach him how to be comfortable in a saddle and gear if she ever wanted to take him anywhere. Yes, she would need someone's help and advice on this. Looking at her new tokota, who had now leaped over the fence as well and with a wagging tail was licking and chasing all the sheep, as well as Raakel, she knew she was in a little over her head.

I've got it planned out that she is Davin's cousin from his mother's side. lol I'm getting the whole family line all set out and such 8>)
Davin was outside taking a small breather from the previous day's antics. He had been working on snagging a few more pups for his pack the last couple days and the constant haggling about the contracts was finally wearing on him. He had his eyes on two in particular; a small ruddy brown male with a bright white collar and a beautiful dusty brown female. The two of them he was very interested in acquiring soon with hopes that the new young blood could get his tawny male, Bran, to calm down somewhat. He had decided to take it easy for the day. He wore a simple cream tunic with warm, thick jeans that were tucked into his fur lined boots. Around his arm was the metal armband which he normally wore everyday; the band with which held the old runes that he had almost forgotten their meanings on more than one occasion. Upon his head sat a blue plaid newsboy cap that had some trouble keeping his spiked blond hair from poking out from underneath. The strawberry blond male huffed as he walked from the storehouse caring a large bale of hay. Behind him trotted a seal male tokota with sea green eyes who, at the same time, carried a few more bales upon his back. The two had just gone to grab the fodder for the sheep for that day. It seemed as though everyone was in such a rush that morning that the sheep had gone without their early morning breakfast. The young male sighed heavily, "A early lunch is better than nothing. Right Ricus?" he stated with a chuckle as he tossed his head back to look at the tokota that followed behind him. The tokota gave him a hearty chuff as they rounded the corner to the pens. As the Nordic boy faced forward as he heard a very audible and deep sounding bark. The freckled young man caught sight of a very unknown tokota leaning over into the pen. Davin's stomach dropped a little at the sight and feared for the lives of the livestock until a flash of colorfully, bright blond hair caught his eye. The lad gave a sigh of relief as he saw Hazel go over to the cream tokota and after a little more observation the boy spotted Raakel deep within the sheep pen watching protectively over her adopted kin. Davin chuckled at the female seal tokota and her peculiar quirks. She was an interesting pup when Hazel brought her to the tribe. She attached herself very quickly to their herd and refused to leave their side as she worked to imitate their behavior. Davin found her warped "baas" to be cute if not odd for a tokota. The pair soon reached the pens and began placing their bales into the feeders. They watched as the fluffy clouds began to huddle over to the fodder and begin munching on their breakfast; leaving the two tokotas that had been mingling with them out from the herbivores meal. Davin glanced over to the blond elf with curiosity. "So who might this be?" he asked inquisitively with a gesture to the large male tokota. It had been a long time since Davin last had a chance to speak with Hazel alone. He couldn't remember the last time they had had time to just talk with how much had been going on lately. They both had seemed so busy with all of the members that had joined and the new tokotas that were appearing. Each day was a lot of fun but it could get tiring with the amount of work there was to be done to keep the tribe running smoothly.

Tokota: Dichali Handler; Hazel that sounds fine by me This is actually the perfect time for that since theres no need for a specific task to be done and it IS handlers view.) --- Hazel had been so preoccupied watching Dichali chase all the sheep, including Raakel who was attempting some form of baa and howl as she ran, that she hadn't even seen Davin approach. Her brow had been furrowed as she had fretted over the days task that was stretched before her with honestly very little clue of how to even get started. She had trained many tokota's before, as anyone from her family of toktoa breeders had but that was just it: they where breeders. Never before Dichiali had she even seen a wild tokota, though she had heard they excist. Now that she had one who planned on sticking by her she had to make sure she gave him the best chance at life by giving him the best training she could... She just wans't exactly sure how to do that just yet. All fo the sudden heard someone talking behind her and jumped, totally caught off guard, turning around with her hand on her heart, letting out a big sigh of releif to see it was only Davin. Davin was one of the longest running tribe members, along with herself of course, but in attempting to make the tribe grow and be successful the two had rarely had a free minute just to get to know each other- so really she barely knew him outside of work. She smiled though, tucking her straying blong hairs back behind her long elven ears. "Actually, this is uh..." She looked back over to Dichali, trying to think of an easy way to say all that had happened recently. No doubt he had noticed her absensec in the morning, since it meant the morning duties had needed to be given to other people. As well, despite a bath and a heart meal, Dichali still looked wild in a way. his frame wasn't filled out yet, still showing seigns of having starved for who knows how long, and his pelt, though clean, was still needing some work in cutting out a few knots that she hadn't been able to deal with last night. Her blue eyes watched the creme tokota, wishing desperately that she could do well by him but feeling completely unable to do os. All she could do was try her best but after having watched him suffer in the wild for so long she just wasn't contest with her "best." "Dichali was wild, I found him not far from here a little while ago. I had been making sure he got enough food since wild or not I couldn't let him starve and he was looking ill and I was so worried about him and I-" She paused, blushing. She was rambling. "He followed me home late last night, so I am guessing he wants stay... But I should really teach him some commands and get him use to other handlers and tokota's but I just don't really know where to begin. The poor thing was on his own, in the wilderness, for who knows how long. " She admitted, feeling terrible that she couldn't help him as good as she wanted to. She had never felt so useless as a handler, in fact, most times she was pretty confident in comparison. If Dante was still here Hazel would have known exxactly who to go to. Dante had been the type that would have understood Dichali best, known what to do with him right away. She looked back over to him, because goodness despite everything the wild tokota was a beautiful one. He ran with an elengence she had yet to see in any other. He was magnificent, well built she could tell. He would be a fine addition to her pack, if he could adjust to it.

It was cold. At least colder than where she had lived for the longest time these past few years. She couldn't believe that the news had taken this long to reach her. Well... actually... it didn't surprise her that much really. Their family was rather reserved compared to most who had similar life styles. They were somewhat spread out across the lands. Staying together could end in a tragedy if something were to happen. If secrets were to get out to the wrong people. Once they went their own paths it could be years since they would hear from kin. Most of them wrote by letter for easy disposal and to keep it only between those trusted. They took much longer to be delivered and it sometimes took months before any news reached those that needed to hear. This being one of those conditions similar to the incident that had transpired long ago. Something with which she was currently following one of few leads on her target's location. Sat upon a large beast was a tall and lanky girl. Her light blond hair was stuffed under a beanie with a fur lined hood over that. Her leather jacket was thick and warm with wooly furs lining the interior. She wore simple pants to repel water with warmer leggings underneath. Her pants were stuffed into her boots which were heavy with a steel plated bottom. Despite the sun shining rather warmly overhead the air was still frigid compared to the weather she was most used to. " Its supposed to be late spring. Why in the world is it still so cold?! ...If only I could have my furs," she cursed under her breath. Her nose and cheeks were bright pink from the chill. The girl bent down to snuggle her face into the thick mane of her mount. He gave off a calming feeling along with his body heat. She was thankful that her father still had him. It wasn't that long ago since she first got this tokota. It was last winter when she met him as a rather small puppy. He had grown so much since she had seen him last. Her father had a delivery service across the tundra and he used tokotas as primary transportation. They were best suited for the climate and could brave the roughest terrain. Her father had hoped that she would fall into the business as well, but that was before she decided to try out the warmer climate for a change. Her travels had brought her to a tropical island where she learned to train the mounts that the people there relied on for many things. She had even managed to save up enough coin to buy one of her own. One which was currently being taken care of by a friend while she took off for the freezing flows of whatever the heck this place was. Sure her body was made to live out here and survive the roughest blizzards, but not after living in the searing heat for a year at least. She had to come out here per her father’s request. They hadn’t heard from the family in years, which under the circumstances were not odd. It was only after the girl’s father got a delivery request to the town where the small family of relatives lived did they learn of what happened. Her father’s sister, her aunt, had been missing for years, the husband unfortunately was killed by a bear during a hunt. The blond lass could only faintly remember visiting them to celebrate their marriage as she was no older than a toddler at the time. After some more investigating, her father learned that her aunt and uncle’s child was still alive. After asking about where that child was, many of the residents would no longer speak to him. Only after going to the orphanage where the child was kept for some time did the story of what happened spill out. The girl sighed into her tokota’s fur. That was where she came in. Her father still had to work and complete his deliveries as he was relied on by a lot of people. However, he did not want to let this child go unknown and without knowing the family he came from. That being said, she was between jobs and so was available to return and continue the search where he left off. With a rough description of what the child looked like, she traveled from town to port to village. She followed his trail for months and followed any leads she could get. Finally, at last, she believe she had found where he currently resided. The description she was given initially had definitely changed as he had gotten older, but she was almost positive that this was the child that was disconnected from his family so many years ago. With some anxiety she could see the smoke of a fire a little ways off, and as she rose over the hill before her she spotted the location she was looking for. Nestled in between rushing water sat an island filled with log buildings of many sorts. The main house was where the smoke billowed out from the stone chimney at its edge. Around some of the fields were fences likely filled with livestock from what she could tell. She then spied what she believed to be a stable. Yes. This had to be the place she was looking for. The Companions of Cross Creek Tribe were not only known for their livestock of sheep but also for their strong camaraderie with one another and their training of tokotas of any and all sorts. " I hope this is the finally it," the girl prayed with a sigh. With hope in her chest she urged her tokota onwards to the nearest bridge.
Davin jumped slightly at her surprise. He sheepishly rubbed the back of his head as he managed to unintentionally spook Hazel with his rather abrupt appearance. He nodded a small apology as she searched for a way to properly answer his question about this unknown tokota. Davin cocked his head to the side as Hazel worked on her response. The strawberry blond lad took note as he looked over this cream tokota. He had a very wild look to his eyes as he playfully went about the pen. Not only were his eyes mischievous looking but also a beautiful shade for a tokota such as this. He looked thinner compared to a tokota like Ricus and even Callalily who had much less fur to bulk her body out more. This tokota did look clean though if not slightly disheveled here and there. The beginning of Hazel’s explanation finally brought the lad’s mind away from the cream pelted tokota. He turned back to face her as the words tumbled from her mouth. His eyes widened at her statement. While he knew that there were wild tokotas out and about, Ricus being one up for debate since his acquisition was nothing short of unusual, he never thought they would be this close to the tribe let alone to any sort of a claimed and inhabited territory. Davin broke from his thoughts once more as Hazel paused her explanation with an embarrassed blush creeping across her face. The lad nodded with a small smile for her to continue. Davin rocked back onto his heels. He glanced over to Ricus as the moving lump of fur caught his attention. The seal tokota was wary of this cream newcomer and so with cautious steps he moved a little closer to the sheep and Raakel. The seal male wasn’t hostile towards the cream tokota though, which was good considering their current situation. Davin scratched at the back of his neck. “ Well we know that- Dichali...,” he paused as he rolled the name off his tongue to familiarize with it, “ That he doesn’t seem very hostile around the other tokotas. Or even the sheep for that matter. Thats a very good first sign I would say,” he stated with a satisfied nod and a grin. It was true that having a tokota that could get along with other animals in a nonthreatening way was better than hoped for. Even ranch bred tokotas could often be iffy around livestock if not trained and introduced early on at a young age. Davin paused for a moment as he considered what they could do to get a better idea of how willing the wild cream tokota was to learn. He glanced between Dichali and the two seal tokotas currently surrounded by soft, fluffy sheep. It dawned on him just then and he gestured over to Ricus and Raakel. “ What if we try to teach him by example?” he offered while feeling quite proud of the idea as a smile played across his lips, “ We can have Dichali watch on as we give some simple commands to Ricus and Raakel and then we can use treats, if we have them, to see if we can make him a little jealous that he's missing out.” Excitement started to bubble in the lad’s stomach with having a wild born tokota in the tribe. It would be both a great learning experience to see the differences between Dichali and a home bred tokota.

Hazel's eyes had been gazing upon the scene in front of her. The beautiful spring day shining, the birds making their beautiful songs, and yet none of that took focus in comparison to watching how Rickus slowly came forward to Dichali. Her eyes weren't watching with extreeme focus, more like a dreamy gaze as she was both lost in wonder that he was still here, and in thought of trying to think about what they could do. She would start with something simple, she knew. He was so beautiful, with his creme pelt and hazel eyes, that she just found herself in constant disbeleif he hadn't belonged to someone at one point or another. She watched as Dichali finally noticed the sale tokota inching forward, Dichali's ears perked in sudden interest which let the sheep adn raakel have a little breather which they where all probably grateful for. Dichali's Hazel eyes watched the seal tokota with curiosity that was not wary or tense, but you could see the wild toktoa was completely at a loss as to what was going on in the interaction regardless. His tail was wagging though, having just had so much fun chasing all those other sheep.
That was when she heard Davin speak, and she turned to look at him. It was kind of nice to hear him say something good about the wild tokota though, because despite not having any ideas in where to go from here it did warm her heart adn cause her to smile to think that maybe, just maybe, he was doing ok anyway. She really did want teh wild tokota to be happy here, to be glad he stuck by her. She didn't want to think of what it would be like to be a wild toktoa suddenly thrown in to a tribe full of otehr tokota's, handlers of all shapes and sizes, and then tons of sheep as well. It would be overwhelming to say the least, or at least thats how she would feel. But Davin was right, Dichali was doing quite well despite everything. He wasn't agressive (thank goodness, after watchign Sozin struggle with Muta Hazel wasn't so sure she could take on an agressive tokota.) and at least he seemed interested in everything, even if you could tell by his face he wasn't really understanding a lot of this newness.
She looked to Davin to all of the sudden see him brighten up, like a light bulb had turn on, and she sat up to listen in hopes that he ahd something better than what she had as far as what to do, although that couldn't be very hard considering she was drawing total blanks as far as what to do with him went. Davin told her his idea - example! Why hadn't she thought of that! It would be perfect since she knew better than anyone that Dichali had thus far seemed really motivated with food.
"Davin that's perfect! Whenever he approached me as a wild tokota it was usually because I either smelled like food or had food of some sorts on me! He loves to eat!" She said with excitemen,t his smile infectiously spreading on to her on lips as she opened the shoulder bag she had been carrying with her. She didn't have much as far as treats went, a few peices of dried seal jerky from exploring yesterday, but her bag WAS full of fish. It was quite a hefty reward for Raakel and Rickus just listening to them but the bigger rewards would probably be mroe enticing then a few treats anyway, so it would be worth it! Raakel had probably avoided breakfest as well, the foolish tokota always preferring to stay with ehr sheep friends but being sometimes unable to eat meat around the, well, around the meat.
She put her fingers to her mouth, giving a small, sharp whistle, to call Raakel over. It worked instantly, as the whistle had always sounded similar to what they used when herding sheep, so it was familiar to Raakel. Soon the not quite a sheep tokota was sitting right infront of her. Dichali had watched, as this had happened, focus split between that and the other white spotted tokota approaching him, btu once Raakel sat down for a few moments the wild tokota's attention went right back to the spotted male in front of him. he paused, his eyes eyes looking over the tokota, before giving a little bark and dashing right past Rickus, bounding over the fense, and sitting down under the tree a few tail lengths away from them, his tail wagging, he probably thought this was some sort of game similar to him chasing the sheep.

The strawberry blond lad listened as Hazel praised him for the idea. “ Oh! Um, thanks,” he said as he gave her a sheepish grin. He glanced back at Dichali. “ Well, you know what they say. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, Right?” he added with a chuckle as he looked back over to her, “ I’m sure a tokota is not that different.” The lad watched as Hazel took off her bag to reveal its full contents of mostly fish and some jerky. He gave a short, low whistle at the amount before the sound of Hazels sharp call brought his face back up to look over at the pen. He watched as Raakel immediately perked up and bounded over. The pale skinned young man’s focus moved on to the two males as he waited to see their reaction to the simple command of Raakel. For a moment Ricus’s attention was pulled to look at where Hazel was calling from, but he quickly looked back at the cream male in front of him when he found that it was not him being summoned. Ricus tensed before ducking at Dichali’s sudden movement. Davin could tell that the seal male was rather on edge, but, since Dichali had not been treating anything else with hostility so far, the lad kept his worries to a minimal. With a wave of his arm, Davin shouted to call for Ricus to join them. In return, the male seal’s ears perked before he tore his gaze from the cream male to leap over the fence in one graceful bound. He trotted over to Davin and after sniffing the young man’s hair for a second he gave a happy lick to the side of his face. Davin chuckled as he pushed the large head of the tokota away and began to walk over the where Hazel stood by Raakel. His steps were brisk as he had Ricus in tow with his longer strides. Davin’s thoughts went back to when he first started training Ricus. He was still in the orphanage at that point and keeping the tokota puppy quiet and unnoticeable was one of the challenges he has to face early on. He was happy to find that food was a great motivator for a starving animal that had been scrounging around in the trash for scraps. It was pertinent to make sure Ricus would listen to anything he asked. One misstep and the tokota puppy would be ousted and gone in the blink of an eye. Some of the commands that Ricus once knew were rather complicated at the time which made Davin wonder if the seal male could remember any of them. Of course, at the same time, whenever the pair went out to the marketplace in town there were some things that Ricus was taught that were not quite legal. It was a rough start for the both of them and Davin was careful to not mention such things anymore since things had brightened up as they got older. It still made him wonder though. Bringing his thoughts back around to the question at hand, Davin thought hard about what the first thing he taught to Ricus was but he failed to come up with something that was both simple and easy to understand. “ What do you suppose we should have them do first?” he asked Hazel as he placed a hand on Ricus’s side.

Tokota: Dichali, Raakel Handler; Hazel
--- Hazel was so happy that Davin seemed so willing to help her, it gave her the little confidence boost she needed to even get started doing this. Perhaps it was not so much she feared she couldn't do it bt just that she couldn't do it alone. As he walked over here with his tokota in tow she felt instantly better about the whole thing. She tucked the strends of blond hair behind her ear, preparing herself, looking at the two seal tokota's that sat in front of them with eager attentiveness. Ricus sat like he had done this a thousand times, calm and collected, where as Raakel was still a little tense in her position, probably because Hazel had spent less time with her than Davin had with his very first tokota. In fact, she had no idea how long the two had been partners, but they had always moved just as if they had always been togehter, which Hazel thought was pretty special. She had made her way here with nothing but the money she had saved up while working for her family, a long line of prestigious tokota breeders, so even Lucia, Pikatti and Asher whom where her first tokota's where still ones she had only had since arriving here. Lucia still didn't like much of anyone, but she did ok. Pikatti was playful but helpful, and Asher was her slpha of the pack, cool and collected at all times. Still, something in the way Davin moved with Ricus was something she lacked in her own, that movement when you have known someone your whole life that you ease into movement together like your walking not parallel to one another but in usison as one working, well oiled machine.
But enough about that. She wasn't going to get anywhere by simply inspecting where her faults lay in comparison to Davins, he was here to help and she didn't want to waste his time. She was grateful for his help, and determined to tame this wild tokota and show him how amazing life could be here with her. The last thing she wanted was for Dichali to scatter and never come back, the thought terrified her in fact. SHe desperatebly didn't want to go to sleep every night thinking the tokota was out there, alone, and probably starving once more. He was doing better here, he was more healthy and has other toktoa's for socialization. Hazel was sure he would flourish here if she could just give him the proper care and attention, and all that was more possible when Davin was here to help so she wasn't on her own. She supposed she could have asked her sister, but he was so new and in all honesty her sister had a tendency to like new way to much.
"Perhaps if he can learn the basics? Like to come when he is called? Or even stay would be really nice." She said, although the second one was probably a day two attempt. She'd be happy if he could even learn to just come when she needed him. If he could know his name, know the tone in which she said it that meant she required him front and center. At least then she could call him for doing more learning tomorrow right? It didn't seem like a bad idea, but she wondered if she was trying for something she could not achieve, if a tokota needed more than one day to learn their name. After all, she had only just decided upon his.
