Tsukiyomi had entered the cave's tentatively, but all hesitance had been lost rather quickly when her eyes had adjusted to the growing darkness as she travelled along the dark corriders and tunnels turning thins way and that. She wasn't worried about losing her way, after all it was her sense of smell that lead her here or there and it would in turn lead her home as well if she followed her own scent back out. Thankfully, sense of smell was a tokota strong point unlike thier handlers who seemed to rely so greatly on their eye sight. Why, Tsukiyomi could probably travel these tunnels and caverns with her eyes closed, not just because of her good sense of smell but because of her familiariaty with the place. Some tokota's preferred the rivers and creeks, or the forests or the rolling hills but Tsuki had always felt at home in the dark. She loved the way her fur shnoe in the moonlight, loved tracking the caribou that she hunted so fequently only by the light of the stars. She didn't like being seen in broad daylight, avoided it really. It made her feel seriously judged, like everything was harsh and looking down upon her but in the shadows of the darkness her form could slip here or there with mystery and beauty. Yes, she could admit that. She felt beautiful in the cover of darkness, and so deep within these tunnels was where she felt most at home while the sun was still up.
She found a large savern, almost circular. Her brilliant eyes taking in the shape. Not a tunnel, but almost like a large room she padded around, sniffing for any scents of anyone already calling this place home. It was certainlty one that would be desired by wolf, or bear, or even at the very least fox or badger. Foxes would be a nice mid day treat, but a bear or something could pose a serious threat, but upon investigation she scented hide nor hair of any other animals having been here recently, although she scented trace scents of some minor rodents like mice or rats... but that was no surprise.

His paw steps were relatively silent as he walked over to the mouth of a deep, dark cave system. The tawny tokota's nose lowered to the earth at its entrance and picked up the scent of another. His tongue lolled out as he opened his mouth to allow him access to fainter scents. The smell was familiar, though he didn't know it well enough to recognize who it belonged to. After a moment more he deduced that this being had entered recently. His curiosity peeked at who it was, and with his thirst for adventure compelling him, he entered the caves. Darkness soon enveloped him and he froze with apprehension as his sight failed him. The murky air slowly cleared away as his eyes adjusted to the sharp light differences. He shook out his mane as his sightless nervousness dissipated. His claws left a quiet echo with each step taken on the hard surface below. His side brushed the wall of the cave to keep himself oriented to the direction he was traveling. The furry male's pelt prickled with excitement at the mysteriousness of this location. He could find anything here! Treasure, food, a new toy; numerous possibilities flew through his mind as he advanced further into its depths. The excitement he felt was overwhelming as the thoughts of the fresh scent at the entrance flowed out of mind. His paws felt jittery with each step and his earlier apprehension left him to bounce his way along the cave wall. He took in a deep breath as a strong scent wafted into his nose. He recognized it as the smell he found at the entrance and froze. His previous free-spiritedness fled from his body as his joints locked. Whoever it was that owned this scent was just ahead and he had little to no clue how to approach this being. After shuffling his paws Bran let out quiet chuffs in greeting as the dun tawny male tentatively stepped forward.

She had noticed the sound of pawsteps as they echoed through the caves before any other sense alerted ehr that she was no longer alone in these caves. She did not mind, and kept her hackles from raising to make sure whomever it was knew that. She was slightly tense, as there where some tokota's she'd rather not meet in a deep dark cave such as this. Of course, Muta was the susual suspect for that. EVen though the two seemed to spend time together frequently, having done their fertility rites togheter, Tsuki felt as though the dire and her still did not get along. Needlestosay, the extreamely large and agressive tokota put Tsuki on egde. She preferred comfortable silence to roaring fights, which seemed to follow the female dire where ever she went. Tsuki had somehow managed to avoid ever being the receivr of those harsh words, but had no intentions of changing that if it was in her control. Tsuki hated conflict, she'd much rather give in that fight about anyhting. There was nothing she could think of truly worth getting in a fight about, not when food was plentiful and supplied by the humans and shelter was easy accessible and there was little in her life she longed for. Perhaps more companionship in her life, but that was not a priority in her mind. Though having someone whose presence she enjoyed seemed nice, it was not somethig she yet desired enough to go through the trouble and hard work that seemed to be involved in making such things happen.
The scent caught her, though the air was unmoving and stale so she hardly caught the scent before the pawsteps reached her and she could mildly make out the shadows of another male in the distance. His paw steps showed care in to approaching the situation, so she let herself relax in turn since obviously he posed no threat of charging in here and getting in a tizzy about her also being here. She looked over him, weighing her options. She could leave, she supposed, but that hardly seemed polite and left her to only more of what she had been doing before- exploring these caves on her own. Sozin sometimes managed to come with her, so that if they found anyhting exciting the handler could bring it home, but Tsuki had foudn Sozin to be otherwise engaged today...
Instead she let her head bow slightly and approached him. She let herself take the more submissive stance with grace. Fights for ranking where still fights, and as she mentioned she hated conflict. In fact, she disliked it so much that putting herself beneath him was practicually done on instinct as she approached, so use to making sure that there was no threats that her body didn't even take the time to assess the male to see if a challenge for dominence was possible. Even if it was, she probably wouldn't have faught for it. She was more than ok with being the lower ranks if it meant she didn't have to constantly expend energy keeping her status. Yes, she'd much rather leave that to the other tokota's who actually cared. However, that was not her assuming that this male was one of those tokota's. For all she knew he belonged to the same lower rungs of the ladder as she did and perhaps he was content to be there just as she was. Either way, her approach as timid and submissive left room for there to be friendliness, and she began to sniff his flank carefully, getting to know him.
"Your from our large pack." She said, taking interest. Thank goodness he was no wild male, they always where more agressive and especially towards females. Or at least, thats what she assumed since she hadn't actually met one.
"I'm Tsuki."

He felt the air stagnate around him as Bran realized that his shoulder had left the cave wall a while back and that he was now standing in a small cavern. His fur bristled slightly and he silenced his greeting chuffing as he could faintly make out the outline of a dark pelted female tokota. He watched cautiously as she lowered her head in submission and approached carefully. Bran held his ground and tried to keep the uneasiness he was feeling from seeping through his pelt. He could not, however, calm his fast beating heart at the prospect of this unpredictable situation. She appeared passive so far, which set him a little at ease, but not enough to let his heart reach it's normal pace. The warmly pelted tawny tokota stood still with his tail low as she walked over to sniff his flank. He returned the friendly notion with ease but could not place a for sure name with the scent she gave off. He could smell the tribe. The stables where most of them were kept and some of the handlers he had heard and seen with his own. He could ever so faintly smell the leather of tack that the riders placed upon them when they joined them on an outing. The familiar scents washed over him and made it clear that she would not be a threat to him. The silence that clouded the atmosphere broke as her words startled him at first. He nodded slightly as he replied with a steady voice, "I am and it seems that you are too." He mulled over the name she provided. "Tsuki...," he muttered quietly to himself. He could remember hearing that name being called on occasion by that brown furred human-like being. He had never been introduced to her before nor had he ever run into her out on the tribe's territory. It would sound strange to any outsider since they all lived at the same place, but there were a lot of tokotas and handlers in their tribe. Bran was almost sure that he had never met at least half of them. His handler, Davin, was reluctant to let him wander freely without being tethered to or accompanied by an older and more experienced pack mate, most often that tokota being Ricus and on few occasions Kenai. The handler thought him too unpredictable still and rather reckless with the amount of energy he exerted on a daily basis. This one time being one of the few where he was given free range while a large amount of the tribe members were out either hunting or taking care of business in town. He took a second to think back to what his own handler was up to but quickly remembered how Davin was currently tending to a new pup he was hoping to own in the near future. Bran was happy for the spotlight as newest pack member to be shifted onto someone else and even felt excited about having someone to play with. Callie avoided most everyone most days while Ricus normally stayed with Davin. The only pack mate that would occasionally go with the tawny male was Kenai, but the older tokota spent a lot of time going off with others and had trouble hearing which didn't make him the ideal playmate. His mind finally wandered back to the present situation and he quickly introduced himself to the female before him. "Its a pleasure to meet you Tsuki. My name is Bran," he barked in a fairly chipper manner. Relief flowed through his body at the rather nonthreatening meeting and he began assessing what kind of a tokota she was. Her words were clipped short and to the point and she seemed rather timid compared to some of the other introductions he's had. Most other tokotas he met were quick to let him know that they were above him. He found their assured stature to be irritating, and while he did wish to be someone who could be higher on the food chain, he found that he would much rather play and enjoy himself with everyone than worry about who was who and how great they were compared to others. His icy eyes peered at her black coat and how it was nearly invisible in this dark place. He took a few careful steps deeper into the cavern. "Sooo what are you up to in here? Looking for something to catch?" he asked with a small bounce in his step. He stuck his nose down to the ground and took a whiff. The musty scent of old, stale smells from small mammals told Bran that the cavern was likely abandoned long ago. He figured that Tsuki had made note of this as well, though he didn't know why she was still here after knowing there was nothing to catch or play with. His head cocked to the side in curiousness.

At first, she had kinda thought he would leave. No thtat she had wanted him to, since his presence and company would probably be enjoyable. Of course, she would not have tried to stop him either, since she was hardly the type to enjoy chasing someone through the caves unless of course that was the game, but she wouldn't do it just to try and convince him that she was good company if he thought otherwise. She could see he was hesitant, and she wondered if it was the saves or something he saw in her that made him that way. She wasn't normally someone who put others into a place of feeling uneasy, or at least not that she knew of. She hoped this wasn't the case as it certainly was not her intention. She had wanted to seem friendly, as friendly as she could be. It was just sort of harder for her, she wasn't that chipper outgoing instant friends sort of type, like her best friend Catori. Catori was always like that, and she made friends quickly because of it. Tsuki found herself having harder times coming off as friendly, but she did want to be. She enjoyed a good romp around just as much as any tokota, andshe did enjoy playing. Despite being rather reserved and timid she was not actually as serious as she tended to come across. She knew this, but somehow that knowledge still didn't help her. Still, as he in return took her scent she felt like maybe, jsut maybe, things where going a little bit better.
That must have done the trick, for after catching her scent he actually replied and she smiled. With using thier scents like they did, he probably got more information from her scent alone than she could even ever tell him. Each scent was unique and tended to be layered, giving off information on who you where and what you did. She wondered what she smelled like, but alas someone is so instinctually habituated to their own smell that smelling it as a stranger does, or even a friend, would be impossible. It was only something one could wonder. She had a bet that she smelled quite a bit like these musty caves, simply because she liked coming here during the day so much due to it being cool and dark. She really only wandered or hunted in the night if she had the choice. It gave her an advantage. Fishing of course was another story, one she had to brave the sunshine for since fish where practically impossible to catch in the night, slippery enough even to be tough during the day.
Watching him as he went deeper in to the cavern, and listening as he spoke, her attention was drawn back to him rather than her wandering mind.
"I wish, but I hardly think there's anything left to catch. I was actually originally just coming here for some peace of mind, but then I figured I had may as well do something of importance. You came in just about when I was try to decide what to do. I'd love to explore, but I'd have to go back and have my handler put on saddle bags so anything worthwhile that was found could be brought back home. . . But then again exploring deeper into the cave does some exciting. What do you think?"

Bran was somewhat taken aback at her long string of words. His crystalline eyes widened slightly as his previous assumption was tossed out the window in a split second. He scorned himself for making assumptions about others once again. He had been caught on that before when he met Callalily after coming to Davin when they were pups. He was so eager to have a new friend and playmate that he only assumed that since she was there that she wanted to play. His muzzle found out quickly that that was not the case as her claws raked across his cheek and sent him whimpering into the corner. The only lesson he had learned from that was to be cautious when meeting others. Especially females. His heart sunk at Tsuki’s notion that the cave was indeed void of any potential living prey. He greatly enjoyed hunting, just as he did with any active activity. Despite that, he held hope that there was something else they could do. His heart then sunk even lower as she mentioned that she had only come here for a quiet moment. He was about to apologize and turn tail to leave when she continued on. The tawny male's ears perked at the idea of exploring the cave even more. "That sounds like it'd be fun!" he yipped happily. His head bowed forward with the idea of the anticipated adventure he was hoping for when he first entered the cave. His tail wagged excitedly from side to side as his tongue lolled out. A second passed before he realized how he must look to this tokota he barely knew. With some reserved embarrassment, he stood up quickly and after giving his chest a couple licks he sniffed around the cavern a bit more. “Where do you think we should start?” he asked jovially.

She looked at him, and his excitement was almost infections in the way her tail wagged as well, not extreame or anything, more like a gentle swishing back and forth as she was pleased to see that he was really looking forward to it. She kinda was only use to Catori being that excited to hang out with her and by now that was a commonplace. Of course, as Catori and Puka grew closer and closer Tsuki had more time to just be on her own. Not that she didn't like Catori, she ALWAYS loved hanging out with the exuberant female that was her best friend, but Tsuki had always loved her times on her own. It was these times where you could meet anybody, do anything where spontaniaty happened and that always lead to interesting moments. Tsuki loved those moments, where something happens that you never expect and you just roll with it and see where it takes you. Which was exactly what she planned to do here with Bran.
"We need handlers and saddle bags first, since the most dissapointing thing is ot be exploring and all of the sudden not be able to rbing something home." She said, something she ahd only learned from experiance. She had often gone exploring on her own as a pup in her younger days here in the tribe, but your mouth could only hold so much and after an exploration or two where she was suddenly having to decide which amazing objects she would bring home when she really wanted all fo them.... That was when she started never going anywhere withuot a handler.
"Come on, it'll be quick I promise then we can come right back here. I'll race you even?" She said, hoping to make going back to camp sound a little more fun.

Bran surveyed the cavern where they stood; he had of course looked over it earlier but now he was taking note of the smaller details he might have missed with his once over. Off to the side was another tunnel entrance that he assumed would take them deeper underground. He stared deeper into the cave with a longing look. It was pitch black and seemed like it was even darker than where the pair currently resided in the cavern. His head cocked to the side as Tsuki mentioned their handlers. His mind immediately sought out a mental image of the upwalking being that was with him the most. He had hair with a color like Bran’s own pelt and wore itchy looking things over his body. Bran couldn’t see much use for the fabrics but he figured that with how little fur they had it must keep them warm at least. With a small bob of his head he acknowledged the point that the black tokota before him made. While he would much rather just get to it and dive into the adventure set before them, it was very true that it was hard to bring the fun things he found when out and about back with him when his handler and bags were not there. He could easily remember the time when he found the absolute perfect stick for chewing when he came across a dead skunk. The black and white animal would’ve been the perfect play thing but he had regrettably decided to leave it in favor for the thick branch.Of course, then again, the last time he had brought one of those delightful sort of toys back with him his handler had scolded him harshly. Bran flapped his tail happily behind himself. “ A race?” he said with much interest. “ Well what are we still standing here for?!” he cheered with glee, “ Last one back is a stale bear!”
