Handlers: Sozin Hazel Tang-KiTokota's: Banji Sika Ila--- Hazel and Sozin had spent all afternoon getting ready together but now they both where putting on the final touches, and they looked beautiful. Hazel had put up all her long blond hair into a loose bun, letting the little whisky strands that never seemed to get in to lay where they may, cascading to about her shoulders. Her long strands at the edge of her bands she kept as they where, her long elven ears poking out from them. Her blue eyes surrounded by the slightest touch of mascara, the only makeup she was wearing tonight, she felt as good as she looked. She was beaming, inside and out, so excited for this festival as she believed it was exactly what the tribe needed. She added in her new piercing, a little silver star with a chain and went into a cuff that went around her ear closer to he end. It was new to her, and so she felt excited to let this be the first time she was wearing it. In fact, she was excited for every part of how she looked today, form her hair and make up, to her kimono. Today was going to be a good day she was sure, and she had wanted to dress up as best she could for it as well. Sozin had been more quick to get ready, perhaps because she was not going on a date like Hazel was. Sure, Davin was working one of the stalls, but it was still going to be a date. He had still formally asked her, to which she had accepted of course, and they where going to watch the fireworks together before he had to get to work. She was not on duty for this, because she had spent so much time cleaning that the tribe had given her a break but both Sozin and Tang-ki would be working shifts at one booth or another, so that everyone in the tribe could take turns enjoying the fun, not to mentions their tokotas. Hazel had pondered for some time whom she should bring, as her pack steadily grew in size to be somewhat closer to what she had once had before she had gotten sick which was now nothing but a faded memory thank goodness. Hazel looked at her sister, and they both smiled. Sozin had done her hair in a loose braid, inspired by the snow queen elsa character that had taken little kids by storm. Of course, only her sister would do something simply because it was based after a movie for kids but it looked good on her so Hazel could hardly argue it. Her sister had worn more make up then Hazel had, sporting some masquera, a little lip gloss and even some blush for the evening but it was all tastefully done and it looked amazing on her. While Hazel had out go buy a brand new kimono, Sozin just wore her formal wear out fit that she quite often sported regardless, but it worked well for the festival. Hazel kind of admired her sister for that, because she'd never wear something so fancy and girly the rest of the days but her sister always seemed so confident in her more formal beautiful clothes. With that they where almost ready to go. The festal was just outside so luckily they didn't have to go anywhere far. Hazel had promised to meet Davin outside, so she let Sozin go on in ahead of her, her tokota Banji right along behind her so Hazel could take a few more moments to have to herself to breath and make sure she was ready. She wanted to be sure that she was ready when he saw her, beautiful. Like, more beautiful than normal though she knew he probably thought she was regardless. At her feet lay Ila, since Sika was out with her sister and the helper handler Tang-ki. Beside her feet was Ila, whom she had decided to take with her. The wolverine tokota was looking beautiful all dressed up as Hazel had made her to be, with some brilliant tattoo's, some feathers in her fur, and some beautiful light tack pieces. It wasn't anything big, mostly rope with beads and feathers on it, but it looked amazing on her. Ila was so beautiful anyway, when Hazel had first seen her being offered in exchange for a pup Hazel had bred she had just known it was meant to be. Ila had since become a tokota she was bonded deeply to, like her second Dichali. Ila was soft and sweet natured, a gentle companion, but she always seemed to be listening and trying to understand Hazel when she spoke. Whatever it was, Hazel just loved taking Ila out exploring with her now, and so the two had become fast friends since apparently the wolverine liked exploring- or at least she always seemed happy when Hazel mentioned it in the morning. When she got up to leave, Ila did as well, the tokota pressed her head gently on Hazels cheek, to which Hazel lifted her hand and stroked the tokota's soft cheek fur. Finally, she headed out the door ready for a night of fun. --- Sozia was already at the festival, the lights just starting to fade, knowing that soon it would be dark enough for the fireworks to begin. Hazel had better hurry up, Sozin thought to herself, knowing how slow her sister could be. She was relaxing on a grassy hill, her head resting on Banji's body, as she watched the sunset. She wasn't due at her food booth until after the fire works and her and Banji had spent all day hauling debree from the fire so Sozin was more than happy to have a moment to sit back, relax, and do nothing. She had to admit, it was a little hard seeing Hazel so happy with Davin, not that she wasn't happy for Hazel. Still, her love life seemed to pitter putter without going anywhere, which would could know by the fact that Cyrus was not here. She had known that things for a while had been going well with him, but she was a handler come first and apparently so was he, which left that at a stand still of never seeing one another. The feelings they had, whatever they where, would fade over time she knew without ever amounting to much of anything but there was little she could do about that. Her tokota's and her tribe would always come first, she did not have time to waste chasing around boys like a love sick puppy. If they wanted her, they could make room for who she was in their busy schedule, but in this case, he was probably feeling the same way about her own stubbornness... maybe they where similar like that. --- Tang-ki, with his helper Sika, where manning a little fishing booth for tokota's and handlers. Well, he was managing the Handler one, which actually involved catching a goldfish and you got to keep it if you won. Sika was just watching all the tokota's that passed by in tail wagging eager excitement thinking they would come and have a try t catch the super fast salmon fish they had put live in the barrel of water. For the tokota's if you caught it you got to eat it. Sika looked like she wanted to eat a few herself, but so far the vangough roan female has resisted, but Tang-ki would have to keep an eye on her he knew or she'd end up gobbling them all up. If only the fire works would start soon so they could get everything started!

Vinheart sighed as she looked in the mirror at the two Kimonos she had to choose from. One was blue with silver and a large bow on the front while the other was black with red and it had a long red fabric used for tying around her abdomen and tie as a bow in the back or front. Both had long sleeves and barely touched the ground at the bottom edges. Though she didn't wish to be going to the festival, she knew it would do her good tog et out and meet others rather than keep to her small group of friends within the tribe and few outside of it.
Huffing irritably she hung the two Kimonos up side by side, 3 of her female Tokotas watching her go about in annoyance on what to wear with amusement. Rarely did she act like this, yet the three being some of her oldest Tokotas knew she could get quite irritable when she wanted to on some of the most simple things.
"Charcoal, help me choose which one to wear!" She grumbled, crossing her arms as she tapped her foot glaring at the outfits.
The tundra female stood eagerly, walking over and looking between her handler and the dresses before nosing the red and black one and wagging her tail with a smile.
"Thanks," Vinheart said, ehading off to change from her summer attire of a black tank top and shorts to the Kimono.
Finally, after struggling for almost half an hour to get it on and the fabric tied around her, she got to her hair. Not much needed to be done in her opinion, as she never liked the small curls that was her hair. Taking it out of the usual braid she got it wet and began combing it out before getting some of her curl calming hair product and smoothed it down so she didn't have small wild curls framing the top of her head. Deeming her hair public worthy she moved on to minor makeup, not liking those materials either. Despite her distaste for the makeup, she put on silver eye shadow, mascara and eyeliner with lip gloss.
She glared at the mirror now, lips pursed as she no longer saw herself but rather almost an exact image of her mother, which no doubt ticked her off even more than she already was. Closing her eyes she sighed and leaned on her dresser.
"Only for tonight, then never again should I need to dress up like this..." She mumbled under her breath. "Never again will I see that hag of a mother again either."
Standing straight her expression when stoic as she turned and slipped on her sandals, heading out of the room she had as her own in the tribe lodge for when she went there instead of going to her cabin. Charcoal, Jewel and Azazel followed her out through a different door rather than the front one which she could go through to get to the festival. Walking out she made sure she couldn't see any tribe mates and picking up the bottom of her dress she walked quickly over to the stables most of the Tokotas of the tribe and tribe member's packs hung out at times.
Checking inside she heard and saw nobody so she walked in calmly, smoothing out her Kimono as she strode over to the area Elsu and Svart were at, ready to go with her to the festival. Some of her other Toktoas were going too, such as Nightlock, Aroro and Akane, so they were all readied up with hand paints and items galore also, though they'd be going off on their own. She walked up to Elsu and petted his cheek gently before checking his paw to make sure it wasn't getting worse as he already was getting a limp from the damage the snare had caused a few months back.
Motioning the brown male down, he laid down and allowed her to sit on his back in a way he was not used to as her legs were on one side of him. She watched Svartbjorn stand, his beaded necklace clicking slightly as it moved while the Yeti followed after them as Elsu headed out of the stables for the festival with her other Tokotas following before splitting their separate ways to find interesting activities to do.
Elsu trotted along smoothly, careful as to not let Vinh fall from his back as he had no saddle and she was sitting in a funny way he wasn't used to. He made it to the start of the festival in no time with it being so close, allowing Vinheart to slip down when he stopped and she looked around cautiously as she kept her head bowed down as she walked along. With Svart on her right and Elsu on her right, she hoped they would guard her from any of her tribe mate's, feeling very strange in the Kimono with the low collar of the dress.
When Svart took lead ahead of her she followed quickly after the Yeti, unsure on where he planned on going before he stopped and she was slapped upside the head by his wagging tail. Combing her fingers through her hair she realized they were at a fishing activity and Svart was looking at the barrel curiously as he could smell the water and fish. Vinheart herself didn't like the smell that came with most fish, though she knew it was mainly the water they lived in that smelled of them the most which had her hold her breath when she could scent of it being so close.
"Come on Svart, we're not playing games right now," She said, going to walk away before she realized the black Yeti was now sniffing at a little curly roan van gogh pup she recognized as one of Sozin's new pups.
Upon glancing at who was running the game she recognized Tang-ki so she kept her hair covering her face as she headed off, Elsu grunting at Svart and making the Yeti mae follow after them reluctantly.

Once Sozin was still sitting on the grassy hill at the festival letting her mind totally let go of her worries or frustrations about her sister not coming with her. After all, Hazel would have fun for sure and now she needed to make sure that she would have fun as well. She planned to have a great night tonight, to go to every stall, to do everything possible, and most of all to eat all the good food she and her tokota's could scarf. Banji's soft fur was making a nice body for her pillow, and soon he wasn't the only one. It was starting to get darker, but there was still a while before it became dark enough to light fireworks. In fact, it was still light enough that as one of Hazels tokota's approached she could see it right away. The brown fluffy yeti Valk, who Sozin was still incredibly jelous of, seemed to be batting towards the festival with curiosity, but also looking quite nervous and unsure. Sozin watched for a while, unsure of if she should really get up to help the tokota around. After all, everyones tokota's where off leash tonight mulling about and enjoying the festivities so this was one night for Valk to be without a handler and enjoy herself and Sozin didn't want to ruin that if that was what the brown yeti would prefer... But it honestly looked so lost all alone over there that Sozin was doubting it really wanted to be on it's own, so maybe her and Banji would be better than that. There just where some tokota's that preferred to hang out with handlers, like Sika, Hazels roan vangough, and like Banji who seemed stuccoed to Sozin's side like glue these days.
She got up, brushing herself off before calling out to the yeti. It looked up as soon as it heard it's name, recognizing Sozin, and trotting happily right on over. Once Sozin saw the expression on Valk she was pretty confident that the tokota did indeed probably prefer hanging out with her to being on it's own, which Sozin could understand. It was relatively new after all, and Valk and Banji seemed to be getting along really well since they both had happy go lucky personalities. They greeted each other merrily indeed, with wagging tails, happy barks, and a few licks to say they missed one another, which kinda warmed Sozin's heart. Banji was so active most of the time, even as an adult, that Sozin was pretty sure he annoyed mostly every tokota there was. Even the ones that where normally more friendly just couldn't handle the full on bouncing energy all the time, even Sozin had trouble doing so on some days where she was tried to begin with. Still, already the two where play fighting over the grassy fields and shading one another, and Sozin let them for a moment while she just watched, honestly a little nervous that all of Valks fur would cause the brown yeti to trip and fall as Banji raced after her at full speed, the two tumbling all over as soon as one caught the other, only to turn around and switch who was being chased. Sozin could see right away both would be needed a bath later on, but that was all fun and games. Tpday was about celebrating that they where past the storm and having a good time, so since it seemed like both Banji and Valk where doing so then she could feel relaxed in knowing that so far everything was going just fine.
Of course, she had plans herself to go to the festival. So she gave a little whistle, causing Banji to pick up his head and stop to look at her. She didn't wave him over, because honestly if they both wanted to stay here and play she was alright with that, but she decided to turn around and start heading to all the little vendor stalls so she could see hat was up while it was still light before the fireworks started. She soon heard feet galloping over so she wasn't surprised when Banji nudged her pack, panting heavily, and she turned to see him and Valk right behind her. Well, if they want to come that was of course fine by her as well, in fact she would probably enjoy having the two tokota's around to keep her company.
She headed on in to the festival, and while walking around she recognized one person rather quickly.
"Vihn!" She called out, waving and walking over to her. Wow, Vihn actually looked really beautiful i a kimono. Sozin shouldn't have been surprised because despite Vihns way of dressing which was not one that really showed herself off Sozin had known she was no ugly handler, but yet seeing her in a kimini she still felt a little surprised, but it was in a good way. She liked to see Vihn all dressed up, and she imagined it was not a sight she would see very often either. Still, it was Vihn who had stayed close by her side while they where stuck in the caves so Sozin had always considered her a really good friend ever since.
Approaching her she smiled.
"Glad to see you out and about, have you gone to any of the stalls yet?" Sozin asked, curious to see what kind of stalls where here and which ones may interest her as far as food and games went. She was personally hoping that someone would be having a stall full of all the meat that had recently become ready as jerky. It was probably weird that she wanted that so she wasn't holding her breath for it to be so, but she was honestly most excited to eat that. . . Oh and maybe some caramel apples and other sweets of course. A Festival wouldn't be a festival without that.
---
Tang-Ki was surprised he was already getting handlersand their tokota's so early on, but then maybe it was better for them to come during the light rather than once the only thing to light it all up was the paper lantern they had string everywhere. It made sense, he supposed, he just would have thought everything would seem more exciting after the fire works, which was why he had chosen to take a early shift. Since no one else wanted to do it and it left him able to enjoy the rest of the night looking at all the other stalls and having a good time. Akinyi seemed to agree as she greeted first Svart rather quickly and then another tokota that came around, looking more than ready to partake in the tokota fishing.
"You don't need to apologize, this is all for fun so long as you all are having fun then its working right?" Tang-Ki said, his tone friendly and curious since he wasn't totally sure why the handler was apologizing on behalf of the tokota who had done nothing worthy of an apology thus far. Akinyi came up with a wide grin and wagging tail, shaking her chocolate roan pelt before sniffing the tokota as a gesture of friendship. Akinyi tended to get along pretty well with almost anyone, given that she had a soft demeanour but a friendly one. She wasn't outgoing and adventurous but she would get out and go on adventures if someone else wanted her to and she'd have a blast doing so. Tang-Ki kinda liked that about this tokota of Hazels in particular, ti was flexible. If it was around shy tokota's it was quieter but then when it was around a tokota like Banji Akinyi could easily adapt and be loud and fun loving as well. Tang-ki thought that sort of flexibility was an admirable trait in a tokota.
Looking at the handler, tang-ii realized he didn't actually know him.
"I'm Tang-Ki, helper here at Cross Creek Tribe. I don't own any tokotas but I am always here to lend a hand if you ever need an extra handler around." He said to Kohana , extending his hand for a hand shake. The handler must have been newer, because Tang-Ki did normally know everyone here at the tribe being that he was never off dewing with his own tokotas so he was always out and about the tribe helping on tribe mate or another. Sometimes he was taken for exploring trips, where so many handlers are needed, where as other times he just helped around closer to home, helping Davin heard sheep or especially helping with the clean up after the storm. It was a great exchange for them letting him live here and eat as much as wanted he thought, plus they where a grew group of people, onces he was honestly starting to consider close friends. Or at least most of them, you couldn't get along with everyone so even if there was no one here that he disliked there where some handlers he found harder to get to know than others. The two sisters, Hazel and Sozin, for example he knew extremely well, but Vihn the handler Sozin was speaking with a little further in to the festival was one Tang-ki was not as familiar with. All in good time though, he supposed, since the longer he stayed here the more handlers he met and got to know better.
The festival around them was starting to become more busy, he could see, but even still he knew it would be far more busy after the fireworks had ended. This wasn't even a large portion of those who lived at cross creek tribe, which had expanded greatly since even he had moved in not long ago. Yes, this would be a very full festival after the fireworks if even before them there where still small handfuls of handlers and their tokotas mulling about. He would be grateful to not be working when the crowds came in and brought a large amount of activity and thus work for the stalls with them.
---
Lirim hung on the edges of the crowd, taking it all in. His black fur with the little white flecks where keeping the cold out now but he knew it wouldn't last long. His short fur was hardly one that could kep out the chill once the night came in but he would't mind so much. He liked the darkness, like how he could feel more hidden in it pretending he was just another part in the starry sky. He was not nearly as social as the other tokotas here, hanging on the edges watching with curious yellow eyes. He was interested this this... festival as his handler had called it. He found it weird that they where celebrating disaster, because even the celebration of its end still seemed like celebrating it in Lirims mind... But then again he and been wild with his sister for so long that maybe this was a custom and a way of thinking that was just so foreign that he was missing the big point whatever it was. Still, it looked like fun more or less and the food that and begun to scent the air made his mouth water, he would be happy to get his jaws on some food later.
But for now he was alright to simply watch from a distance. He just didn't feel ready to jump in full swing to the large crowd full of overly friendly tokotas and their handlers that where usually no different.

Vinh was already heading away with Svart in tow, though the Yeti was reluctant and wanting to play with the pup rather than follow his handler he still was obedient to follow her wishes. His handler stopped as soon as she started walking though, Vinheart hearing her name being called likely from someone in the tribe, as she wasn't known by many others outside of the tribe. Turning around she saw Sozin, and despite having been trying to avoid those she knew for reason to not be seen as she was, she smiled back.
Ever since the incident within the caves Vinh had opened up a bit more towards the older girl, as usually she kept to herself despite having friends she could talk to for hours on end, she didn't like the idea of possibly annoying others with her own talking. So rather she'd listen to others, with simple nods and small smiles or a short reply to a question they'd ask. It had been awhile since she let someone in on a closer circle, as she tended to like having her own space and not trusting many. Regardless of her preferences to befriending people, she found it hard to keep the idea of trusting some within her tribe like she had long before she had joined them.
"I really only just got here with Elsu and Svart. I haven't visited any of the stalls yet except for the one Tang-ki is handling with Sika," she replied, trying to keep her talking to a minimum without going into much detail. "Svart decided to try and go for it before I stopped him."
--
Svartbjorn grunted at his name being mentioned, knowing it likely had to do with the fish. All he wanted to do was try and get one, then he wanted to play with the pup that was there because it didn't seem like many others around would be wanting to play in this area. Upon seeing Banji and Valkyrja behind Sozin, he pranced up happily to see more familiar faces. Especially since he knew Kyrja was his half sister, knowing it was hard to so much as find a half sibling at any point, he was quite excited and had absolutely no clue what else to do, landing him in the decision that he would just go and stand behind his alpha.
Elsu found it amusing that the younger Yeti male in his pack attempted to go greet the other two Tokotas. Only for him to double back and find safety from doing something horribly embarrassing before the others. Though he knew Svart was one to not take such things to thought, which made Elsu a bit curious as to what was special about the female Yeti that was newer to the tribe.
--
Nightlock was finding it hard to get around the festival without his handler or another within the pack. With hardly any walking space and always accidentally bumping into other handlers or Tokotas, some of which were not the most friendly, he decided to find more entertainment in places where less people were gathered. Meaning around the edge of the whole event. It was much easier to walk around seeing things then, not having to bother others to move so he could continue going on his way, he found it to be relaxing after the awkwardness of the crowd. With such itchy items hanging on his face and neck, he was constantly trying to bite at it without damaging the item.
After sitting down for awhile and just watching people and Tokotas walk by, he got back up and headed back around the festival perimeter. Few things catching his eye he stopped again, the same clip on feathers behind his ear becoming irritating again so he sat and began tearing away at it with his back paw to try and get it off. He felt someone's hand on his head, making him freeze in surprise at not seeing someone approach and the handler still not in his vision. He felt the clip of the feather release before it was clipped back to his mane a bit farther back, making it much less annoying now so he could relax...only after he spun to see who the person was.
Expecting it to be a handler from the tribe, he was surprised to see a male human likely just slightly older than his own handler, with black hair like his fur and blue eyes like that of the greying tawny in Elsu's pack. Clear, cold and criticizing. It intimidated him to say the least, but despite his fur standing up on end his tail wagged and grinned in thanks. The guy just smirked slightly, ruffling the fur on top of Night's head.
"No problem buddy," he said, as if knowing what the purple eyed male had been thinking, just like Vinh would do.
He was a bit fazed by the comment, not noticing the guy walking off until he was almost back in the crowd of people within the main area of the festival. Running up he uncharacteristically grabbed the guy's sleeve, trying to tug him where Night had last seen his handler. He wanted to see fi the two knew each other despite himself never seeing the dude before, as Night had never met a handler that acted like they knew what their Tokota was saying just by a glance like Vinheart could. The blue eyed guy pulled his arm away, Night releasing obediently.
"Okay, you want to bring me somewhere, where to?" The stranger asked with a raised eyebrow.
Nightlock took off trotting away, looking over to see the stranger following more slowly. So he slowed down and walked slightly ahead of him, heading for where Night had seen Vinheart at a glance talking to a familiar handler from the tribe.
--
Aroro snapped at Bristle as they ran up the grassy hill, messy distinguishable hand paints littering their fur as they stopped on the hill. Bristle noticed a black male with white flecks also present on the hill, though Aroro was between the pied and the black should Bristle have thought of going over and turning false alpha on him. Instead with Aroro constantly snapping at the tundra pied's muzzle it kept him occupied from going over, as they both could feel the wild aura the male was practically giving off in waves.
Bristle and Aroro held a similar aura around themselves, though Bristle was the only one who knew what it was like to live off in the wild. A yip made the two look back down the hill, an irked cream tundra female pup decorated in flowers with a dove sitting on her head stalked up. Though upon seeing the festival she perked up, grinning at the brown halfmane dun and tundra pied in excitement as her tail began wagging. Seralee found the idea of the festival quite exciting, being new to Elsu's pack and being in Vinheart's care she had only just recently arrived and was still trying to get her bearings around the multiple attitudes all the others in the pack had and in the tribe. Yet it was all so amazing to the small pup for it being her first official time out with those in the pack, regardless of Bristle finding the little female annoying while Aroro found her funny and amusing.

Davin rushed around. He held a hand to his head piece so that it wouldn’t fall out of his hair as he ran. Behind him trailed Ricus with brisk steps along with Kynareth and Kadel but the two females walked with a lesser urgency. A continued stream of curses fell from Davin’s mouth as he bobbed and weaved through the crowd. He was definitely late meeting with Hazel. He didn’t think getting a set of work clothes to leave at the booth would take as long as it did but here he was, running in the heavy clothing that he had decided to wear on this special date. Getting ready for the festival had gone smooth for him. He had hung out what he would wear the night before so that he would remember. The attire was simple and somewhat casual but he hoped that the little details such as the fur cape and head piece would set it out. Not to mention that most everything was recently bought for the occasion. It put a dent in his coin purse but nothing he couldn’t live with. Growing up as he did definitely put a damper in how and what he should do for this sort of occasion; deciding what to wear was number one of not being in his area of expertise. That aside, this was most likely one of the first festivals he would be taking part in. Of course some of the better orphanages would throw a little party when someone would be leaving or when some big occasion happened but they were never quite like this. He was excited to say the least but that also made him nervous. He was sure, or at least hoped that the way he asked Hazel out was correct or even in the ballpark at least. He was glad when she agreed, of course, but it didn’t calm his nerves in the slightest about what to do next. He could only hope that he was going in the right direction. His boots roughly smacked the ground as he went in for the home stretch. With the building directly in front of him he quickly rounded the corner to the front and where he would be meeting Hazel. His attire was slightly disheveled but not overly so that he looked an absolute mess. He had only caught a glimpse of her when he froze in his tracks still panting from the race here. “ Hazel...,” he whispered once his mind registered the happenings around him once again, “ You- you look absolutely stunning.” --------- A tall blond lass with eyes mostly green moved quickly about in her small quarters. She pulled a few boxes out and after rifling through them found the headpiece and necklace she was looking for. She let out a small noise of elation before she moved onto the main part of her attire for the evening. Although she assumed that everyone else would be wearing kimonos and similar wear the lass wore what she had and it was not ideal in her opinion. Of course it was entirely her fault for waiting until the last minute to find or buy something that would work for the occasion. It was also her fault that she didn’t give herself enough time to go into town should she have nothing. She did have something she could wear but it was definitely not the first choice. Or the second. Or the third. It was a family item that looked traditional but Skylie believed that the story her family told with it was false to some degree. Pulling it out made her cringe. She didn’t like dressing up, she didn’t like having to look fancy, but the festival was a time to go all out and have fun. She might as well see where the garb got her for the evening. “ At least it has similar sleeves to a kimono...,” she sighed before retreating to change into the soft fabric. She wore a forest green dress with a broad neckline that reached out to her shoulders. Along the neckline that continued down the middle of the garb was a simple patterning similar to that of Celtic knots. Around her waist fit a loose metal belt with detailed interlocking loops. The sleeves were short but continued down with light, flowing material that ended, roughly, at her knees. She had to admit that it wasn’t the worst thing she could’ve been wearing. It didn’t look too bad either but she still would’ve rather gone in something else. She quickly added on her necklace and headpiece, an intricately woven metal tiara type accessory that, again, had more family meaning but Skylie was less likely to doubt this story. With a satisfied sigh she turned to leave and join everyone else in the festivities. As she exited the abode she was met with her tokota Odell. The tundra male was dressed in his own metal headpiece and upon his back rested the pelt of one of their first bears they had taken down as a team. He rose from his laying position and gave Skylie a tentative sniff before deciding that this was indeed his handler. She giggled at his response as she ran her fingers through his fur. She carefully guided the tokota with her to at last take part in at least one game before the fireworks started. --------- A tawny halfmane jogged about the festival. Her head was held low and her ears were plastered back as the ever-so present annoyed mug sat upon her face. Adorned upon her body was a simple sash with and intricate pattern made of vibrant colors. It was an unusual item to wear considering her normal tack attire but it was of a material that did not bother her much at all so she let it be. In her mane however were feathers that her handler had braided into the fur. They didn’t bother her so much now but as they were being put on the pinching and pulling had almost been too much. Trailing behind the tawny female as per usual was a large tundra male with a bright red blanket and an even brighter attitude. A half cape was draped over his back and was clasped on so that it didn’t drag on the floor or cover too much of his pelt. It was a bright red and complimented his coat coloring quite well. Upon his neck he donned a necklace featuring a small wooden carving of a bear that Davin had made sometime ago. It was relaxing for the older male to watch his handler whittle away at the wooden pieces. Turning what once was an indistinguishable chunk of wood into a carefully carved and detailed being. Being able to wear such things for this occasion only brightened his mood further. His paw steps were a high trot as his attention was pulled this way and that. So many stalls, so many handlers, and even better was the plenty amount of tokotas to meet and chat. He grinned knowing that this was his place to be. “ Hey Callie,” he said over the white noise around them, “ Isn’t this great?! There are so many things to do and tokotas to mingle with. Its fantastic!” The tundra male put a skip in his step with his uplifted mood. The tawny tokota Callie huffed with irritability. “ No. Its not great, Kenai. There are too many bodies around, the noise is unbearable, AND I have you following me around!” she snarled over her shoulder. Her short fur ruffled with her outburst and she stormed further ahead with a brisk pace. She just wanted to get away. Go somewhere quiet and without so much busyness all around her. She wasn’t fond of the situation or of the celebration. She couldn’t see the point in it all. Why should they get together with the beings that they saw almost on a daily basis. Weren’t any of them sick of each other by now? It puzzled her to no end and it only aggravated her more when she was added into the commotion. Not to mention that it was normally the big brute following her that dragged her along. Kenai shook his head at his pack mate, but instead of telling her to lighten up as he normally would he decided to give her her peace. It was a time to be happy and joyful and Kenai would rather Callie not start up a fight with him once again. He merely followed at a steady pace and continued nodding his greetings to those he knew as they passed by. Soon enough the pair had reached the outer edge of the raucous festivities and the noise began to quiet down. Callie could be seen visibly relaxing already the further they went and soon enough she let out a huff of relief. “Much better,” she sighed as she laid out onto the grass. Kenai looked out around the area they had arrived. They weren’t too far from the festival and as the tundra male gazed around he could spot a few more groups of tokotas here and there. Not too far and on a slight incline of terrain looked to be Aroro and Bristle, two tokotas that they had mingled with previously. With them was a bright pelted tokota that he could not put a name to and assumed that the tokota was rather new. He made a small note to himself to meet the light colored tokota at some point. Continuing on, the tundra male spied ever so faintly in the dying light a black tokota with small flecks of white. The name did not jump out to him immediately but after some more thought he managed to match the name “Lirim” to the pelt. Lirim seemed to be rather aloof he decided after hearing what he could from the others. He pulled his attention away from the others and back to Callie who was quietly resting her head upon her paws. Her eyes were lightly closed but Kenai knew she was still listening to the things going on around her. Kenai slumped down into the greenery and picked a patch of grass to gnaw on. He knew there was something happening soon, the handlers couldn’t stop talking about it, but for the life of him he had no idea what a firework was. He figured it was best to just wait and see.

Handler Mentioned: Kohana ( fav.me/d6el3ct ) Tokotas Mentioned: Circe, Asteria
Word Count: 597
As the day drew closer to an end, night being slowly beckoned forth, the festival became much more active. Bustling with activity, the festival hardly seemed like a place for someone who wasn’t necessarily the best at socializing…and certainly didn’t like crowds, either. However, Kohana understood what it was like to be a part of the tribe, and he wasn’t going to deny that he did need to make more acquaintances. He couldn’t just spend his life as a recluse, avoiding any sort of civilization that came his way. Besides, he did feel guilty of not participating in tribe events very often. Given, Kohana still enjoyed the more quiet, calm life, attempting to reside away from much civilization. The only people he even tried to speak to were probably his tribemates; even then, it seemed uncomfortable for him. Right at this moment, he seemed at a loss for words, glancing over at the deaf Tokota glaring at the fish bowl. “Yeah, I do assume so. Right now, I think Asteria is attempting to kill the fish with her glare,” Kohana responded, giving the tribemate a swift half-smile. Indeed, Asteria seemed to be concentrating on the fish, her eyes trained on the flitting, golden scales of the creature. However, Kohana hoped the merle knew better than to try and eat the fish once more. After all, she was still quite young, and he had only obtained her recently. Not to mention, training her was more difficult as opposed to training Circe, considering her stubborn nature-and the fact that he couldn’t use voice commands to stop her from doing things. The hand motions seemed to be working better, though. Kohana remained silent for a moment, glancing over at the other handler for a brief amount of time. “And I’m Kohana. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance,” Kohana replied, taking the handshake as if he had never experienced human greetings before. “I guess the festival sort of got me out of my comfort zone…seeing as I don’t really speak to people too often.” He glanced over at the Tokotas once more, patting Asteria’s head for a moment. “If you would like to know, the merle is Asteria…and the piebald is Circe. Oddly enough, I keep ending up with female Tokotas. Though the curly-maned gene is probably my favorite, and piebald does look nice, as well.” Was he saying the right things? Or was he just seeming really socially awkward? Either way, Kohana seemed to glance around, trying to avoid eye contact at all costs. Circe was standing to the side, her heterochromatic eyes skimming over the other handler calmly. She kept licking her jaws, as if she was thinking of going for the fish in the bowls. However, the mysterious Tokota just stood there, letting out a slight yawn as she did so. This Tokota had a distant aura about her, though it seemed to be an air of intrigue and mystery. She seemed much more tame than the curly-maned merle, though her gaze definitely flickered over to the fish for a moment. However, aside from that, the Tokota pretended to be uninterested. As for Asteria, she was Kohana’s second Tokota-and much more difficult one to tame. She did seem distant, and she was indeed a bit stubborn. The tawny merle could only react to hand commands, which Kohana was attempting to get better at for the sake of the deaf Tokota. He refused to give up on her, even if training her was a bit more difficult. He knew that, within time, Asteria could become a well-behaved Tokota.

---Tang-ki and Sika
Tang-ki listened to his tribe mate, resting his elbows o the table and his head in his hands with a cheesy knowing smile. Yes, he did seem new to the tribe in the way many of them once had. He was not the first to come here and feel uncomfortable in social situations, nor would be probably be the last, but still nonetheless he was here now. Tang-ki had been unsocial as well when he had first arrived, not because he didn't enjoy social contact but that he had been focused on other things and had never truly considered how others where viewing his more weird characteristics. Being in this tribe though had allowed him to truly humble his spirit and open his mind in new ways that allowed for him to better understand the social requirements of being in a tribe. Though he had no tokota's himself, he understood that growing the tribe and making the tokota's more dominant was the goal and thus he helped Sozin and Hazel with theirs since they had been the first ones to welcome him here and they always seemed to be more than busy enough to welcome his help. One day, he was sure, Kohana would settle in more as he had and feel more at ease with these social niceties and recognize as them as being somewhat enjoyable once you relax, why even Tang-ki found himself amused during these events. Of course, after the storm that had hit and the work they had put in to rebuild it, everyone's sense of camaraderie had allowed for a close bond to grow between them.
"Well both your tokotas do seem beautiful indeed, though of course I'm admiring them as someone who owns no tokota's myself so I can hardly speak to their genes and their worth because of it- but at the very least they seem bonded to you. I think that is the greatest blessing they possess, to love as loyally as they do. I have learned that even from the small amount of work I have done with other tribe mates tokota's, like Sika here." He said, motioning to the vangough roan who had been by his side this whole time. He rested his hand on her head and she shuffled closer, for even though she was not his tokota she always seemed to welcome displays of her affection for those around her. She was loyal to her handler and yet open to loving others as well. It was an eye opener indeed and he hoped to learn what he could from it.
--- Hazel and Ila
Hazel hadn't been waiting long, but for some reason even though she didn't worry that he wouldn't show up she still worried about seemingly everything else and it made the time tick by very slowly. Ila was unphased beside her, sitting calmly looking up at the stars. The wolverine girl had been a nice addition to Hazel's pack she was extremely happy to have her with her on this night since right now it seemed more than anything she needed someone she could just be with in a way that would help keep her nerves to a minimum. She was kind of a worry wort, she knew, but somehow even knowing that didn't help. Ila on the other hand was always relaxed and easy going even when everything seemed to be constantly changing. When something happened outside of the tribe, like during a hunt, that caused everyone to have to change their plans of action she always seemed to have the easiest time moving forward to whatever was needed from her then.
This was what she had been thinking about of course when Davin turned the corner. She covered her mouth with her hands in silent surprise- He was so dashing! Well, he was always handsome or at least she thought so, but especially tonight with his more than gorgeous clothes She felt a little bad, knowing quite well that he was not the type to spend money frivolously so those clothes had been no simple thing for him to buy, which she sure he had purchased only recently since she happened to know all his other clothes, more simple, very well by now.
Ila seemed please to seem him, or at least the tokota's that were with him, as well since she stood up with a smiling jaw and a wagging tail to greet them all, though she didn't approach just yet. The wolverine girl was far too polite to approach all wiggles and excitement, and was always one that seemed to be hyper aware as to the space some handlers and tokota's needed. Almost too aware, Hazel thought, since she as pretty certain Ila's lack of approach often came across as a cold shoulder unintentionally. Of course, no one could think that about her now, because even despite not approaching her happiness at seeing everyone was undeniable.
In fact, so was Hazel's. As he mentioned that she looked beautiful she blushed, grinning ear to ear. Compliments from Davin always seemed to take her by surprise and take some of the breath right out of her, but in a good way. Even though she knew he was kind and thought well of her still seeing him act in such a way that showed it always made it seem more real than the beautiful hazy dream she seemed to tended to feel like it had to be otherwise. They hadn't been dating to long, she knew, but it felt like ages and she felt great just being near him, hoping of course that he felt the same way about her. It was not always easy, sometimes awkwardness surrounded them with all the things they had been through together and all the past they had, what with him knowing her when she had been hopelessly crushing on Dante. Of course, the past was the past and this, right here and now, was amazing and she wouldn't trade it for the world.
"Oh Davin speak for yourself, I'm just glad you're here!" She said, walking up to meet him. She paused, unsure if hugging or what not was appropriate but figured after everything they had been through, from the storm to her sickness, they both deserved a relationship where they didn't have to second guess their displays of affection towards one another, so she leaned in and kissed him sweetly on the cheek before pulling back to get a better look at him.
"You look amazing though, really, but should we head out? I know the fireworks will be starting soon and you have your shift at one of the stalls shortly afterwards don't you?" She asked him, knowing with almost absolute certainty that whatever stall he worked at would be the one she would visit most frequently through out this festival.
---- Sozin with Valk and Banji
“Oh well then you're pretty much in the same boat as us, we only just got here a little bit ago so I haven’t really checked anything out but since the fireworks will be starting soon anyway I figured this might be a good time to look around. After the fireworks everyone will clutter this place right up I imagine, except for those of us who are working in the stalls.” Sozin said, chatty as usual. She had started to rather like Vihn’s company as a friend, since despite the handler not speaking much she didn’t seem to be too annoyed with her filing the silence, and Sozin didn’t mind if Vihn really listened to her or not. At least, that was how it had been in the caves, since then both of them along with everyone else had been working so hard to fix the tribe back up into the shape it had once been that few if any had really found the time to stop and chat with friends. Of course, having their tokota’s had really speeded up the process so she had that to be grateful for.
She watched as Svart, the tokota Sozin had to admit she was pretty jealous about, came up to greet Valk and Banji with apparent happiness, to which both of Sozin’s tokota’s seemed to reciprocate. Valk seemed happier than Banji, although perhaps it was more just that Banji always looked happy so he didn’t look happier than normal, were as Valk could be more calm in her expression so to see her seeming to jump with joy at a chance to approach the other yeti and snuff him excitedly with her wagging tail was a large leap from the normal. Banji hung back only due to the large amount of room the two large fluffy yeti’s seemed to take up, but he stood close by sniffing the air and barking a little greeting to Vihn’s two tokota’s, but of course Elsu was standing back looked as regal as ever. Hazel couldn’t wait till Dichali passed his rites of dominance, just as Asher had when Hazel had still owned him.
“If you want to walk around with me you're more than welcome to, unless you're meeting someone? I know my sister plans on using this as a time for romance so if you're in the same place as her by no means have me stop you.” She said warmly, though she didn’t suspect this was the case.

Vinh had been listening silently to Sozin talking, not even attempting to reply back and accidentally interrupt her tribe mate. Her eyes did wander around though, looking around as she held her hands behind her back. When she heard of Hazel's whereabouts and Sozin asking if she had the same plans she snapped back to attention looking at the older girl. She shook her head pretty quickly, feeling her ears warm up though they were hid under her hair.
"I don't find interest in those sort of things. Besides, there isn't any boys I know that are actually my age," She replied, voice quieter than usual before smiling lightly at Sozin. "As long as it doesn't bother you I'd like to come along with you and yours Tokotas. Svart and Valk are seeming to get along quite well."
She observed the two Yetis greeting each other, Svart giant fluffy tail wagging just as fast as Valk's was. She knew Svart had met other Yetis before, especially Valk on a exploration once, but she hadn't seem him get so excited before. She wondered if the two were related somehow and knew it, or something along the lines. Having only seen such a reaction between Tokotas when she brought Kongeorn home and Lonan jumped at the chance to greet and play with his younger sister.
She then began looking around again, though her gaze stopped and her expression went blank before surprised as she looked past Sozin at something behind her.
"That isn't possible..." she said under her breath in disbelief.
--
Seralee ended up spotting two more Tokotas on the hill, not really wanting to bug the farther off black white flecked male. She could tell both Bristle and Aroro were uneasy at the other male's presence, and Bristle seemed to get even more edgy at the other two showing up. She grinned up at the older males.
"Can I go say hi?" She asked excitedly, her tail wagging back and forth as Bristle snorted and gave a gruff growl as the brown dun half mane looked down at the pale younger female.
"Go ahead, but come back over here when we go to head into the festival," Aroro stated as he sat down.
Seralee bounced up and took off towards the two, which was a tawny half mane female and what looked like a red blanketed tundra male. She heard Bristle say something but an old red tundra male, slowing down slightly as she approached him she tried recalling the male's name Bristle mentioned it to be. Kenai she believed? Regardless she grinned and ran up to the male, looking up at the taller Tokota.
"Hi! I'm Seralee!" She barked in greeting, tail whipping back and forth behind her as she dove on her head settled down after her running.
--
Nightlock finally spotted Vinheart talking to another tribe handler, also seeing Svart excited greeting a brown Yeti female he hadn't seen before. Stopping a few yards away he glanced back with his deep purple eyes to see the guy still following. Looking back towards his handler he stopped, seeing Vinheart's surprised look at the human male he was bringing along.
Looking back towards the blue eyed boy he noticed he also had a bit of a shocked look, though it disappeared quickly as he passed by Nightlock and headed towards Night's handler on his own with the purple eyed Tokota following behind. Now Night was at a bit of a loss, he couldn't tell if Vinh was glad kind of surprised or she would never forgive him for bringing the guy around her kind of surprise. So he kept his head down and trotted over to behind Elsu for some kind of protection should his handler be upset with him.

Valence looked at herself nervously in the mirror. She had made herself a dress to match the tack that she usually put on Hodie. It was a dark crimson red with a high neck that finished in a light blue color with crimson zig zags and had a matching hem as well. Hodie was wearing a matching light blue and crimson collar that Valence had weaved for him as he lay next to her watching closely the two greying tawny pups they'd recently taken in. Valence had let her long strawberry hair out of the usual banding to let it fall in a long orange curtain down her back. she'd braided the bangs that normally hung in front of her eye so that her entire face could be seen. She tried to dilate her slit pupils t seem slightly more normal flattening her ears nervously. This was her first event as a member of a tribe and she was still nervous about how people would react to her being half human half shifter. She sighed quietly before turning to her three tokotas. They had all ben groomed thoroughly by Valence early a task that was fairly easy with the two half manes and a bit more troublesome with the young puffy Exodus. She'd also weaved them each a collar. Hodie's was light ice blue with crimson zig sags to match his tack and Valence's dress while the little Bearmarked half mane Byzantine had a green collar with orange X's traveling along it. The greying dun Piebald, Exodus's collar had been a bit more tricky it had alternating bright teal and purple triangles along it that complimented her bright eyes nicely. "Everyone ready too go?" Valence asked her three tokotas. Hodie stood up rubbing his massive head against Valence's arm to comfort her noticing that she was nervous about going out dressed nicely as well as her lack of an ability to hide her ears or feline eyes. Byzantine and Exodus bounced up to her happily yipping as they wagged there tails signiling there eagerness to head to the festival. "Ok lets go then," Valence sighed leading the three of them towards the festival of lights.
-- Exodus and Byzantine dashed ahead as the festival came into view they were just starting to reach that stage where they were starting to stretch out. So the two of them ran clumsily on two long legs through the fair dodging around full grown tokotas and there handlers alike quickly escaping Valence and Hodie's view. Valence chuckled at Hodie nervously looking around when he lost sight of the two pups. Considering how irritated they made him and how alike all three of them behaved even though Hodie was fully grown, Hodie still worried about the two pups and watched over there every move to make sure nothing happened to them, "Don't worry Hodi nothing's going to happen to them and it'll be good for them to stretch there legs maybe they'll even find another tokota there age," Valence smiled at Hodie rubbing his snout comfortingly as they walked into the festival. Hodie's nervousness over Exodus and Byzantine making her completely forget about how self conscious she herself felt as she entered her first tribe event.

Kynareth rolled her eyes as she finally caught up to Davin and Ricus only to find her handler in some stupefied trace. She sat down with a thump as she waited for the group to start moving again. The cream piebald tokota bent down in an attempt to scratch underneath the leg bracers that had been tied upon her before they left. They bugged her seeing as she had never worn something of the sort before, but Kyne believed that she could get used to wearing such an item normally if she could get a feel for wearing them. While they did make her paws seem heavier and have less mobility they did provide a got bit of protection that she didn’t mind. Although she would have prefered to don something a bit more robust than simple leather and jewels. Regardless, Kyne continued allowed her mind to wander while she waited, seeing that the others of her group seemed busy for the most part. Hazel’s words at last brought him out of his stupor of seeing her. The dreamy haze that had settled over his eyes lifted as he gave Hazel a guilty grin. “ S-sorry I'm late,” he breathed. “ I didn't think it would take that long to stop by the stall real quick,” he said with shame. He really hated that this was the foot he would be starting off with for the night. One of the things that his cousin Skylie beat into his head, once she settled in and learned about Davin and Hazel’s relationship, was to never, ever, keep a lady waiting. This was among other things she had told him as well of course, but it was perhaps due to Skylie’s own problem of procrastination that had made this advice stick out to Davin more so than the rest. The young man watched curiously as Hazel sashayed her way up to him and found himself in whatever trance had engulfed him before as she leaned up to place a small kiss on his cheek. His mind quickly became muddled as he tried to piece together his thoughts. He could feel his face heat up at the open display of affection. Immediately whatever worries he had once had dissipated in that one seemingly small gesture. It felt right to him. Davin didn't want to get ahead of himself of course, it hadn't been very long ago since they had first really started to bond. First with training Dichali, then with the incident in the caves, and then Hazel getting so sick at one point; the list could go on. He really did not want her to feel like he was pressuring her into anything and potentially ruin their relationship or at worst their friendship. Despite the wishful thinking he had here and there, he had his doubts sometimes, never about her of course, he could only name a few he trusted and believed in as much as Hazel. No, his doubts laid within himself. He wanted to badly be the kind of guy that she wanted and could rely on but in the back of his mind was the constant nagging that he wasn’t. His thoughts usually led back to the past and to Dante. He always tried to push it away and forget about it. Constantly trying to remind himself that if Hazel was uncomfortable or had any of her own doubts that she would let him know. But...the feeling always had a way of returning. Despite his worries and inner turmoil, Davin chose decidedly to not let them surface this evening. He wanted it to be special and fun for the both of them and to be a night to remember. The strawberry blonde lad nodded his head as he tried to pull together his ability to speak. With a wide grin that slowly made itself apparent upon his face he found his voice at last. “ Y-yeah! I’m working at one of the food stalls right after the fireworks,” he said looking forward to helping out. Even though he would rather have spent the majority, if not the whole night with Hazel, he was not disappointed to have to work at one of the stalls for a bit. He wanted to help out as much as he could to make it as fun as possible for everyone which meant he had to take his share of the work. “ We should definitely try to get to as many stalls as we can before the show starts, right?” he asked gleefully. With a quick flourish of his hand he offered his arm to her; but before he could give Hazel a chance to take it he leaned down to her ear. “ Also, thank you my dear; but I don't think I look nearly as amazing as you do,” he said with a sheepish chuckle as he bent down to plant a kiss of his own onto her cheek. Ricus silently stood behind Davin as he watched the two handlers greet one another; a bit differently from usual but the seal tokota was just happy to see his handler with a grin on his face. Whatever made Davin happy usually made Ricus happy and, on a few occasions, vise-versa(The possum incident was not one of them, to Ricus’ sadness). He took notice of Ila standing near Hazel and he quickly dipped his head in greeting but decided to hang back as he watched Kadel finally bound forward to give her own salutation to the striking looking wolverine female. The brown coated pup was cheery as she reached her nose forward to take in Ila’s scent and a playful twinkle situated itself in her gaze. --------- The pair wandered aimlessly around the grounds; passing by stall after stall. Her hand had been placed upon Odell’s shoulder and had remained there as they walked. Skylie felt self conscious about how she came off as to others with this new getup, but having Odell there was at least a little more comforting than it would've been without him. There were a lot of food stalls and even a few that had games for handler and tokota alike. There were banners and streamers hanging all over the place; not to mention the numerous amount of lanterns that hung above to give the festival that magical glow. It held a very bright and cheery aura about it which definitely had a positive effect on the blonde handler. While she was still nervous about going in the first place, her mood was quickly improving thanks to the bright atmosphere. Skylie took a second to walk over to one of the stalls to get some cotton candy. Which she gleefully pulled off a piece to dissolve on her tongue as soon as she got the paper cone. With a small chuckle at Odell’s interest in the item, she held up a small puff of the sugary treat for him to try. He tentatively sniffed at it before sticking out his tongue to lap at it, only to find the dissolving aspect of it to be unusual and surprising. It was only a matter of seconds before he began begging for more after finding that he rather enjoyed the strange treat. His reaction enticed a giggle from his owner as she offered him pieces here and there before finishing the cotton candy off. They continued on at an easy pace but was soon enveloped by a rather large crowd. Skylie could feel the timidness of Odell seeping through his easy-going shell as his head whisked from one side to the other in slight paranoia. She softly cooed his name in hopes of getting him to calm down a tad as she worked to guide him to the edge where the amount of bodies thinned out. Paying more attention to the large tokota at her side caused Skylie to miss catching the thundering paw steps of two young tokota scamps as they raced by. She yelped in surprise as she quickly moved to regain her balance; but her dress, having caused her a bit more struggle with her unfamiliarity for the garb, successfully prevented her from the action she wanted to take. Luckily, Odell was there to give her some much needed support so that she just missed landing onto the well trodden dirt path which would have successfully ruin the gown she had on. With a thankful pat to Odell’s snout she looked to see where the reckless pups had gone to. --------- Her eyes gazed out into the fields. The mountains in the distance just barely visible as dark, looming black mounts before they transitioned to the fresh greenery that reached up to the river that bordered their main island home. Callie considered herself a loner; she didn't much care for friends or to be in a bustling pack. The way her life seemed to be going, however, didn't seem like it wanted her to experience what she wanted. To her reluctance it actually wasn't as bad as she initially thought. Sure, she was uncomfortable and irritated most the time, that annoying pup Bran would still pester her now and again and now with his equally annoying partner, Kenai was still constantly following her and hovering; but as the days were moving on she found that it wasn't really that terrible. The female tawny tokota let out a soft sigh as she at last began to feel at least a little comfortable. The red blanketed brute beside her continued to put a dent in any happy mood she might have had, but at least it was just him and not a crowd. Her gaze drifted over to him as he gnawed on the grass stalks before him. A soft huff escaped her as she wished to have just a moment alone, but thinking about it realistically, she could be with someone a lot worse than Kenai. The tokota in particular felt her eyes on him and he gave her a sideways glance. As soon as he acknowledged her gaze, her once soft expression became sharp and she looked away, closing her eyes in the process. The words to ask her what she was staring at were about to flow from his maw when something interrupted him. Kenai’s ears perked at the sound of his name. His large head lifted up to see the light pelted tokota that he spied earlier approaching them. He scowled slightly at first, unhappy that he wouldn't be able to talk as freely with Callie, but the look quickly disappeared to be replaced with a welcoming smile. He grinned inwardly to himself that his luck had spared him the trip of meeting this new tokota later on as he stood up to properly greet the newcomer. “ Seralee,” he said as he familiarized himself with it. “ Its a pleasure to meet you,” he yipped with a dip of his head. Callie cracked her eyes open to merely glance up with an annoyed mug. ‘ Great,’ she thought, ‘ More company.’ Without moving from where she lay she let out a grunt as she situated her paws another way. “ Hey,” she curtly greeted. Kenai shot the tawny half-mane a glare before sighing in exasperation as he faced back to Seralee. “ I'm sorry about her. She gets a little...testy around others at times,” the tundra male apologized. He could feel practically Callie rolling her eyes at him as she worked to try and ignore the two. “ It seems you've heard of me at least; this here is Callalily or Callie if you will. She may be a bit of a grump but she's a good tokota once you get to know her,” he barked with a light hearted smile. Kenai took careful note to at least try to not rile up the half-mane next to him. She could be sharp with her words and he rather she not scare away Seralee just yet. Hoping to break away from making Callie even more irate with him, he quickly steered the introduction elsewhere. “ So then, what is it that you've heard about me? All good I do hope,” he asked with a glint in his eyes as he let a little bit of his narcissistic side through.

---- Sozin with Valk and Banji
Sozin had been about to say something to Vihn when all of the sudden Vihns expression changed, her gaze moving from Sozin to something behind her, and Sozin turned to see what it was Vihn was looking at. There was a boy there, with one of Vihns tokota's. Sozin didn't recognize him but from Vihns expression alone Sozin began to think he can't have been that good of a sight. If he was trouble, then why was he here? She tensed, wondering if she should throw him out even if she knew he had no reason to. Who knew what had happened to cause an expression like that on Vihn, but Sozin was protective of her friends and felt the need to figure it out.
Beside her, Banji came closer, no doubt because of the tension the tan male could feel in the air. It was thick, like that moment before a thunderstorm rages down upon you in full force. Sozin lifted up her hands to stroke the soft fur of his mane, but her eyes stayed on the person in front of her.
"who are you?" she asked, a little bit wary as to what his answer could be.
Valk, however, didn't seem to notice the boy one way or another and left Svart for a moment to go and greet Nightlock, her tail wagging, oblivious to all else that was going on. The the brown dun yeti it was simply more friends here for the party. Then again, Valk always tended to treat everyone as friendly, until proven otherwise, and that was why she tended to get along with everyone both tokota and handler. That was why Sozin liked having her around even if she was hazel's tokota, she made everything a little more relaxed, because between her and Svart who couldn't resist feeling a little better. She had to admit, watching Valk quickly greet Nightlock she felt a little bit more at ease at the very least. Besides, she didn't know this person, so she should try not to judge him.
--- Hazel and Ila
She smiled, watching him bend over his words a little to needlessly apologize to her. She hadn't even really been waiting that long, if he had come on time then it probably would have been her who would have been late with all the time she had spent trying to put herself together though. Still, every second had been worth it as his green eyes took in her outfit and she had to blush because Davin's expression of wonder was about as subtle as a tokota in the bathroom with you. He could see that he was stupefied, and that made her stomach clench with butterflies at the thought that she could do that to him. They had known each for so long, as mild friends, that she sometimes forgot just how much things had changed in the way he looked at her now, like he looked at a beautiful women he desired. Not in a pervy way, no, Davin was a total gentleman but in the most romantic of ways he looked at her with adoration and she could only hope that in her eyes he saw the same level of adoration reflected back towards him.
She was glad to hear that he was working at a food stall though, since it meant she could eat as she tried to subtly keep herself close to him through out the festival. At least, if they got to see the stalls before hand it would't seem as weird when she had no interest in seeing them once he was stuck behind the stall. She was happiest just to spend the evening with him, on a date. Ahhhh, the knowledge that it was a date,a real, romantic, date still made her smile with joy. How often did they find the time to do this? Not nearly as much as one would desire, she simply could not get enough of it quite frankly and even if she loved that they both where focused on the things they had to do she relished this time they got to let go of all that and just be together.
He reached out his arm to her, and she took it gracefully, wrapped her own thinner arm around it, just as he bent down to return the favor, his soft lips lightly brushing against her cheek. Her cheeks flushed a bright crimson as they began to flush, and she gave his arm a little squeeze.
"Alright, lead the way." She said, smiling sweetly. The whole rest of the night spread out before her with the utmost excitement, with endless possibilities. In her mind where none of the insecurities that Davin had, to which she was completely unaware. Her mind had long since gotten over and forgotten the crush she once had on the black haired boy who never gave her the time of day, because it dulled in comparison to what she got to feel now for Davin. Davin accepted her feelings, seemed pleased when she showed them. Davin cared for her back. Everyone has that childhood crush that goes no where, and perhaps it is a necessary part of rowing up, but one grows past it and as Hazel looked at Davin, so dashing in his outfit today, Dante was not even in the smallest part of her thoughts.
---- Lirim & Akinyi
Lirim had been lounging under the almost starry sky when he felt a nose prod him. He looked up see Akinyi, who at first had been at Tang-ki's stall with Sika but appeared before him now. When he didn't get up beyond to glare at him she pushed her nose against him once more, her expression stubborn. He knew her well enough, since she had come to the tribe she had been pretty much stuck to his side like glue due to Hazel training him always with Sozin, who often brought Akinyi along now.
"Can't you find someone else to keep you company." The black male complained but Akinyi shook her head, pouting.
"I hardly now anyone which is why our going to introduce me." she said, flicking her head to where a small gathering of tokota's was not far from them. She wagged her tail and Lirim sighed. This was exactly not how he wanted to spend his night, introducing the curly to everyone he didn't know. He could probably try saying as much in hopes that she would find a more social tokota that would actually know the rest of them, but in the way her expression and body language read he doubted she'd actually let him get away with that so he may as well not argue this any farther.
He stretched.
"fine, fine, lets get this over with." he said, giving in and he padded over sullenly to where two young tokota pups had bounded into the festival area, looking as excited and happy as Akinyi was to be here. (Exodus and Byzantine )
"Excuse me, but I don't think weve met." He said. "This is Akinyi, and I'm Lirim."
"I'm really, really happy to meet you!" Akinyi practically squealed, coming forward to sniff them politely.

Vinh could hardly believe the sight of the black haired boy before her, much less just appearing out of no where with no hello, no explanation or anything. With Nightlock being greeted by Valk she knew the black furred male wouldn't be making it over to her to hide from her startled look. With Night easing up with the brown Yeti female greeting him Vinh felt no need to try and sooth the purple eyed Tokota, her brown gaze still staring until Sozin spoke, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Oh uh, Sozin this is Rycker! Rycker, this is my friend Sozin," she introduced cautiously the two with a cough as she stood up straight.
She tried shrugging off the tenseness for her Tokotas' and Sozin's sake, she wasn't wanting to start a scene at such a lovely festival. Yet with her old friend Rycker appearing from what seemed like thin air with her Tokota Nightlock it really irked her. First not giving any warning that he was coming, second he only seemed to come over because of Nightlock and the fact that he didn't even make it seem like he was alive for the past few years.
"Rycker was one of my first friends when I moved here, before I started buying and breeding Tokotas I did sled dog racing and Rycker was a friendly rival," she tried to elaborate more, make an excuse for the frigid tension in the air.
Elsu was more than happy to let out a low growl at the tension, head lowered as he sat there close behind Vinheart with his deep blue eyes narrowed at Rycker. Even Svart didn't feel to welcome being between Elsu and the black haired boy, rather moving closer to Elsu and calming down from his puppy ways as his own blue eyes peaked through the shaggy black curtain of his bangs suspiciously at Rycker.
Rycker, trying to ease up everything held a hand out for a hand shake towards Sozin.
"Pleasure to meet you, as Vinheart said my name is Rycker," he greeted.
---
Seralee 's face lit up in a grin, her tail wagging back and forth like before. Her head then tilted slightly in thought as she sat down, the dove her head flapping its wings slightly to make her face straight again which she did quickly allowing the white bird to rest in peace behind her ear on her mane.
"Hm...well I'm sure you know Bristle and Aroro, Bristle talks a lot about you, not the best things in all honesty, but I know he can be a hot head and exaggerate a lot of things. Aroro usually makes him shut his muzzle pretty fast when I'm around...oooh then Elsu! Elsu says he finds you very respectful, like how he respected Tuni!" She barked with a grin. "I'm not sure about much of the other's opinions, I'm usually with Aroro and Bristle for the most part, unless we run into other pack member's I'm not constantly around to hear the older member's opinions on others."
---
Bristle laid down with a huff, sending an icy glance towards where Seralee had gone to greet Kenai and Callie. He still didn't like the tundra male after the confrontation at the river he couldn't even remember how long ago. He knew it couldn't have been more than a few months, maybe only a few weeks. He hadn't liked the older male deciding to put him in it's place. Aroro hadn't held a grudge against the older male though, instead deciding it probably had been for the best to have him and Bristle get split up from a possible fight in front of the others. Especially when Aroro's relationship with his sister had been fragile at the time, and got even worse from what he heard but now he had nobody to question about it, since Aroro's father and sister had been adopted by someone else, which he knew completely broke Aroro.
The poor half mane never got to explain what his sudden outburst was to his family.
---
A short black female was glancing around the area nervously, she wasn't used to such large crowds, even though she was still quite a far ways away from the actual festival with people and Tokotas alike it still made her very tense. Even with having to watch over the antsy Storbjorn, a Dire pup who had a temper to rival many. Even with his constantly squabbling around and trying to escape her area of protective safety given by her to go romp with the other pups Arnet and Marienet. Rlinet was afraid he would hurt himself, or worse, injure one of the other pups.
"Seems like you've got a pawful on your agenda," a familiar male's voice chuckled as a few sets of pawsteps approached.
Rlinet looked over with a sigh of relief, she was new to the pack and she recognized a few who were not so new to the pack. Including a very polite Akane, the stubborn Dove and Hamaro, the danger prone Danger Drone and the oldest of the group the very patient and timid Charcoal. While Dove stayed close to Akane, Hamaro and Drone went off to entertain the two wrestling pups. With another whine from the Dire pup she released Stor with a sigh.
"Yes, I have no idea why Elsu gave me the job of pup sitter," she grumbled.
"Aw, don't act like that Nettle. He trusts you at least, and the other pups you could be taking care of were left at the house with Azazel and Runi," Charcoal tried cheering up the dark black female.
"I guess you're right," Rlinet agreed with a nod. "Stesoni and Harchnid are ridiculous with their antics, especially with Harchnid being as big as Stor!"
"Well his father is a Dire," Akane laughed.
"Oh don't say that! We don't need two giants causing trouble!" Rlinet exclaimed.
"I feel Harchnid won't be as bad as Stor, after all his sister seems to be on the calm side keeping his rambunctious attitude down a notch. We might just have Harchnid as someone who can beat Stor in a fight should it happen when they get older," Charcoal sighed. "I really hope it never comes to that, the Dire female Muta in the other pack is bad enough, Stor being around might just make things worse should the two ever meet without their handlers around.
